There’s a big difference between running for governor and running for president. And there’s a big difference between being a governor and being a president.
So many governors have a cake walk in their states and think it’s going to be just as easy once they enter onto the national stage. Their advisors, who have a vested interest in getting them to run, tell them tall tales of how easy it will be. But running for president is a whole nother ball of wax. People who ignored you start to take a closer look. You suddenly find you’re not as popular as you thought you were.
News stories you don’t like aren’t automatically propaganda. Reporting on DeSantis’s past and current associations is called “taking a closer look”. Do you think DeSantis should be spared from that? All candidates go through it. It’s part of the process and always has been.
As far as claiming that negative news stories about DeSantis are evidence that he still has a chance, that’s true as far as it goes, which isn’t very. It’s like claiming an outclassed boxer still has a chance of knocking out the champ because the champ still has his guard up and is throwing punches.
Please clap!
He showed his true colors the day he permitted the swamp to invade trump’s home without a peep of protest from him! He is another ELITES RINO…screw him! I’d rather NOT vote then vote for another Romney POS RINO!! The base is pissed!
Maybe he could be VP for RFK Jr.
Boring post. Articles debating policy between candidates is helpful and interesting.
There are those that seem to argue that because Trump survived two impeachments he should be impervious to criticism for folding to Fauci.
Isn’t that funny? I’ve been on this site daily since 1998 and I’ve never seen that. Can you point out who “those” are?
At least Ron has family values. No rape or three marriages for him like the liberal you support.
It’s difficult to make DeSantis interesting.
How many times was Reagan married?
Twice. And he also embraced some liberal views. He loved abortion while governor and loved illegals while president. Divorced presidents are not conservative enough.
In a way THAT’S a little bit WORSE in this case.
I guess they have a strong Lieutenant Governor?
I hope my many friends and relatives are pleased.
I know they loved him for what he was doing.
I know I would be disappointed in his decision.
I assume you vote for Trump 2x
I have voted for DeSantis several times, and think highly enough of him that he’s mostly a Regular Guy. But…..it’s too soon, and it’s gone to his head.
Not able to read the tea leaves or ouija board correctly. Also known as Kennel Blind, where he’s thinking (incorrectly) that he’s got the best dog.
4 months into 2nd term and he flips off Florida
Clinton pulled something similar in Ark in 1988. He got the legislature to vote on changing the governor term from 2 to 4 years.
AND, term was only up in non-presidential years so if he list in 1992 he would still be gov until 1994 election.
You’re promoting leftist lies on here and then call Trump a liberal.
Amazing. Don’t worry, you can still vote for Trump once he’s the nominee. He’ll accept you back.
