Well, I hope GOP members of the House were serious about voting McCarthy out of his speakership after this. He betrayed his own party and is not worthy to be speaker.

So it didn’t pass without democrat support. I understand that is a violation of the speakers deal.
If anyone finds a list of exactly who didn’t vote for it(the smaller list) on the republican side then please post it. We need names.

The regime spends our money on everything and anything except American Tax Payers. Biden Crime Family, Gates, Soros Mike and Barack, they Support Ukraine insanely and conveniently,(they have their own good reasons), illegal migrants, lobbyist, Big Pharma, and on and on. I will be poor and homeless. I have paid taxes and Social Security Insurance for 50 years. I will be lucky if I still my pittance from them for 10 more years. My heart is breaking and I am ill over what is happening. Faith is only thing from here on out. God Almighty is in charge.

I don’t know why folks are blaming McCarthy. I don’t like him, but he was clearly representing the majority of the GOP caucus.
What we have here is a systemic governmental problem that is symptomatic in both parties. What this vote proves is that the GOP is not going to save America, we already know the Democrats won’t.
This is beyond individual personalities and parties.
What this tells us is that we have 3/4ths of the house that does not want (for a variety of reasons, ranging from IQ to political viability) America to veer away from our socialist path.
Most people on this board want socialism, and if you can get that out of a group of supposed stalwart conservatives, you have to realize we are socialists, and have been for quite some time.
Nothing will change until every American realizes that we really CAN’T print money and have everything we want in the form of programs, checks, subsidies, etc.
Stop worrying about national politics, start worrying about your home town, your neighbors and what it’s going to take to make it through the next 10 years or so (or perhaps longer?) because its going to be an interesting ride.
Good luck.

Of course the Rats voted for it. It still gave them everything they wanted.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
I guess we WILL be fooled again@
But...it is the best they could probably get. Though, we won’t get what was agreed to.
Hell, the Dems even lied to Manchin.

Republicans and Conservatives don’t win this in one round. McCarthy got about half of what he/we wanted. It’s an incremental win. He set the appropriations rules that give leverage to appropriations through normal process. We turn the screws tighter between now and September. Keep squeezing! Republicans need to play the long game that Democrats keep using to beat us.
Well done, Kevin!

Gonna say it and IDGAF what anyone else thinks after I do:
The GOP ("STUPID PARTY") deserves to lose in 2024 after this.
They haven't learned a damn' thing.
There's no Motion to Vacate the Speaker of the House.
This is a huge victory for Biden and the Democrats. Anytime Chuck Schumer rushes to the microphone and says the House & Senate should pass it quickly, we know Milquetoast McCarthy got played.
Great deal for Democrats. BAD DEAL for the country and especially Conservatives.
This country is F**KED. The fix is in for the Democrats in 2024. I'm not even going to bother voting, there's just no point.

It’s a kabuki. They need both conservatives and liberals to hate it and deride it so they could say that it must have been a fair compromise. All was orchestrated, even the opposition.
