Well, I hope GOP members of the House were serious about voting McCarthy out of his speakership after this. He betrayed his own party and is not worthy to be speaker.
It doesn’t matter now. Substantively, this Congress is a wrap:

Indeed, get used to the idea of President Harris. The House has gotten tossed as quickly as they came in the last couple of times going back a generation. This time will be quicker as the GOPe usual behavior may make it only one term, they barely won last fall.
Here in MI we lost the state house and the state senate for the first time in decades, why is this? Because people are done (here at least in red areas and most of the state) voting for the lesser of evils AKA the GOPe at all levels. I’m entertained by all this Trump/DeSantis stuff simply because whoever wins will taking over a party of losers, liars, and frauds! Glad around our house we are in the last trimester of our lives and won’t see America burn to the ground and taken over by commies in the coming years.
And President Harris you say? Oh, Jao Xiden will win between votes and corruption in spite of being demented, no way he’s going to last another 6 years.

This is a huge victory for Biden and the Democrats. Anytime Chuck Schumer rushes to the microphone and says the House & Senate should pass it quickly, we know Milquetoast McCarthy got played.
Great deal for Democrats. BAD DEAL for the country and especially Conservatives.
This country is F**KED. The fix is in for the Democrats in 2024. I'm not even going to bother voting, there's just no point.
