Flights from Catania airport in Sicily were grounded on Sunday after volcanic ash from an eruption of Mount Etna covered the runways.
Airport authorities announced that flights would be suspended until Monday 9 a.m. local time (3 a.m. ET) due to the fallout from the eruption on Twitter. They later told CNN that flights are expected to resume at midday Monday (6 a.m. ET).

I’m no scientist but seem recall that volcanoes impact global temperatures. So, with two big volcanoes spewing dust and ash, Sicily and Mexico, with enough ash will we now experience global cooling?
Most likely not. The greenie weenies will just call for stricter controls on pollution blaming cars, factories, etc. instead of volcanos.

The volcano just SE of Mexico City is also about to erupt. Should be interesting with one in Italy and one almost 1/2 way around the world, too.
I can see a nice cloud line of ash spanning the globe. Should reduce temperature a bit, eh?
