One picture and several links. Note that on the Volcano LiveCams page, you can also see volcano cams around the world. Due to the report about Mt. St. Helens that happened over the weekend, I checked the St. Helens cam; and according to the picture on that page, it's supposed to be up on "Monday, September 28, 2004". Somebody did NOT realize that this was a leap year, apparently. So maybe it will be up by tomorrow in case St. Helens burps.

Live Etna eruption cam When I checked earlier this morning, part of the flow was visible, but as I post this, it's fogged/rained in. Checking at night might provide good "glow" if the clouds move away. (I checked it just before posting and you can see the flow again.)

I spent a fair amount of time between Gonaives and San Marc....both on the "upper jaw of Haiti's gator head" shape.
It's actually tiny and very packed....maybe about the size of Manhattan south of Canal St...the flood waters came from hills and mts. to the east and north....in some cases, a good distance.
The natural world never fails to impress me.
I lived beside extreme tidal rapids on the B.C. coast for a while - the power of natural forces is very humble-making. ;^)
