California Democratic state Sen. Steven Bradford is warning African Americans not to get their “hopes up” for massive reparations payments from the state.
Bradford’s message comes after the California Reparations Task Force recommended over the weekend that the state pay up to $1.2 million in reparations to each eligible Black resident.
The state lawmaker, who served on the task force, claimed that it’s possible that Black residents could receive cash payments “if the money’s there,” but argued that receiving million dollar checks in repayment for historical discrimination is “not happening.”
The reparations panel held a public meeting in Oakland, California, on Saturday and voted on the final set of recommendations to be sent to the state’s legislators.

Earlier estimates predicted reparations could end up costing as much as $800 billion, while California’s total annual state budget is roughly $300 billion.

And then there are the looted and burned down Walmarts, cop cars and everything else. Banks and 7-11s held up. Free room and board at the Iron Bar Hotels because they couldn’t behave themselves. Someone needs to pay for all of the American statues and monuments the bass turds trashed and destroyed. They didn’t belong to those motherboinkers to destroy.
Checks? They're smarter than that, DEMANDING CASH.

What about reparations for the descendants of Union Civil War soldiers?
On the condition they renounce their US citizenship and stop using everything invented by whites.
They can supplement their checks down at the local CVS.
Single digit checks ain’t happening either.
They really seek to destroy blacks:
1) Quotas allow others to think a black only got his position due to the quota and not merit.
2) Free money reinforces dependency. Also, they will be judged as having had any money they have given to them, not earned.
Anyone who thinks a check of any amount would put an end to the BS has another think coming. Reparations have been paid in full by the fact that we put an end to slavery 158 years ago. “Activists” can pound sand. Nobody owes you a dime.
They would have to move to the remote areas of Africa to avoid using inventions of evil white people—like electricity.
Legal or not, the offer of reparations is out there, and the first promoters are trying to walk it back.
Gonna be a little tough, though. The way back is measured in intergalactic distances, and it takes a long while to cover that span.
An offer of fifty cents would have been too much, without a collateral offer from the target demographic that their people would work hard, study assiduously, and become thrifty reliable stewards of the culture and wealth of their communities. But of course, that is “being white”, and would be furiously resisted by the shills and power brokers of that community.
Give them 5% discount on menthol cigarettes and malt liquor.
But the whole dynamic from a ruling class perspective is based on getting their hopes up and the not paying it (because it's impossible).
Notice it only goes to certain qualified recipients. I strongly suspect he means only recipients who are wearing his shoes
Giving these clowns and considerable amount of funds is akin to throwing a loaded pistol into a playpen full of toddlers. They are incapable of self governance and complex resource management as seen the world over throughout the ages.
All California plantation and slave owners need to PAY UP NOW.
