Officials in Rockland County have declared a state of emergency in an effort to stop New York City’s plan to dump hundreds of migrants there. The declaration by Rockland County Executive Ed Davis, prohibits other municipalities from bringing and housing people in the county, according to the Rockland Report. It also bars hotels and motels from housing migrants without a license and requires municipalities that wish to house migrants or asylum seekers in Rockland County to ensure they will cover their expenses. The town board in Orangetown, NY, about 40 minutes north of Manhattan, was slated to hold a special meeting Saturday to explore ways to shut down Mayor Adams’ plan to bus the migrants from city shelters to their doorstep, town supervisor Teresa Kenny told The Post. “We have a lot of questions—is this temporary thing? Is it going to become a permanent thing for New York City? What is the program?” she said. The Adams administration gave Kenny a head’s up Saturday that the first wave of migrants would number “less than 100,” and could arrive “as soon as this weekend,” she said. The decision to house migrants upstate came after the city’s shelter system reached a limit in the number of new facilities that could be opened transported them to the NYPD police academy where they were going to spend the night which is located at 235 E20th Street. Rockland Cty WAS a nice place to live long long ago. They got a few a-hole celebs with their insanely large mansions, maybe they can put a little skin in the game such as Rosie O'Dumbass. She got that huge mansion in S Nyack. Perhaps she can set an example and donate a few thousand sq ft. Also a few miles from the Armoni Inn is the old landmarked 914 Studio, where Bruce 💩stain recorded the Asbury Park album. Maybe he and the other badass rock stars who recorded there can help convert it into "temporary" housing. After all, no human is illegal. All are welcome. Love is love. ¡Mi casa es su casa!

Is it going to become a permanent thing for New York City? What is the program?

I would imagine that's the general idea.

10,000,000 in the last 2 years and how many more to come?

All suckling at the taxpayers' teat.

This is Cloward - Piven, in your face.

The planned destruction of America and the GOP does nothing.

But the plaque on the base of the Statue of Liberty has
the New Collossus:

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
