Ukraine ammunition depot reportedly hit in wave of Russian missile attacks
The Guardian ^ | 5/1/23 | Peter Beaumont

Russian missiles have struck warehouses reportedly storing ammunition at a railway depot in the Ukrainian city of Pavlohrad, in an apparent effort to slow Kyiv’s preparations for its much anticipated counteroffensive expected to start shortly.

Video posted on social media showed secondary detonations amid a significant blaze at the site of the strike, which came amid overnight missile launches against a number of Ukrainian cities by Russian strategic bombers. ...

The size of the fire in Pavlohrad suggests Russia may have hit an important arms depot and comes after Ukraine’s recent attack on an oil storage facility in Sevastopol, Crimea. ...

The “Establishment” are Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, Graham they support Ukraine, and are neither the left (RFK Jr) nor the right (Trump, Gawtz, MTG).

I was thinking “Finally! Someone who may disagree but at least can be civil.” Then you had to do this:

Maybe, but how many Russian propagandists are there here? I'd say they (you?) outnumber pro-Ukrainian posters by several to one.

You’re calling me a Russian propagandist just because I don’t support sending billions of our tax dollars and a good chunk of our arsenal to a mincing little grifter just because he demands it? I do not support the Biden crime family’s money laundering operation. What is it with you Ukrainians that you align those of us who are against our nation’s resources feeding this mess with being supportive of Russia?

Go find any posts of mine that indicate that I support Russia or Putin.

The difference, in my experience, is that pro-Russians almost always post outrageous lies, while pro-Ukrainians try their best to stick to the truth.

ROFL! That’s some CNN-level opining there. I’d even go as far to say that it falls into the “outrageous lie” category. But, you’re certainly entitled to your opinion.

That was amusing for a minute, but I don’t mire myself in conversations with those who line up with the left. I learned a long time ago the futility of such an endeavor.

Have a great week and keep on keepin’ on.

@Petrosius So Russia meddling in Ukraine pre 2014 is bad but Obama/Nuland meddling in 2014 is good?

Difference is, Hitler could roll over all Europe, and Putin won’t attack a MATO member.

Wrong. It wouldn’t have had the level of embarrassment it had then, with their silly wxcusez if you were correct, regardless of the monies at that link.

2nd, you’re quick to give the Obama regime the benefit of the doubt when he was clearly a warmonger, but you like that sort of thing

3rd, Trump has more trustworthiness than you.

4th, there are videos of McCain and Nuland stoking the crowds in Ukraine.

5th, whether in Ukraine or Sudan, Death Follows Victoria Nuland Wherever She Goes

4/26/23

“Victoria Nuland was known as the midwife of Maidan – the Obama-Biden point person reportedly running the overthrow of the Ukrainian Presidency in 2013-14.

Ukraine 2014 Coup d’état

After violent events associated with the Maidan revolution protests, Ukraine’s parliament ousted President Viktor Yanukovich in February 2014 and replaced him with Petro Poroshenko. Disposed Yanukovich was an existential threat because his amicable relations with Russia impeded Ukraine from becoming a European member and NATO from expanding to Russia’s border. Assistant U.S. Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, the midwife of Maidan, threatened sanctions against Ukraine’s government if President Viktor Yanukovych remained in office. (Over 100 people were killed in the protests.)

The Obama-Biden Administration helped create instability in Ukraine, leading to a Mafia-like climate where potential Russian aggression leads to Ukraine demanding protection. Protection money is easily extorted, benefiting Hunter Biden and indirectly Joe Biden.

After the coup, the US installed leaders and the Biden’s began moving money from Ukrain to the family coffers. ...

We now know that Nuland visited Sudan recently to encourage the country not to align with Russia.

Timeline of events in Sudan (at link).

What is happening in Sudan?
– Russia agrees with Sudan on the construction of a naval base.
– Biden talks Sudan out of the deal. Biden allocates $288 million to Sudan.
– Victoria Nuland is coming to Sudan. A month later, war begins in Sudan.

Someone should have told Sudan about Victoria Nuland. Death follows her. ...”

The US is not world cop.

It goes against the US constitution and the vision of the Founders.

And neocons love being world cop.

Again, it is not the job of the US to be world cop, it goes against the vision of the Founders, it is neocon talk, Putin will not attack a NATO member, that may mean Ukraine falls, and conservatives don’t live or support policies based upon humanitarianism.

The US has been the world cop since, maybe, 1942. That’s a long lifetime ago.

It’s not been 1789 (effective date of the constitution) for a very long time. Reality and compromise and, arguably, corruption, have intruded over and over, and much earlier than most people think. What once was, is no longer, and that change was constant and cumulative. And whatever condition you recall as ideal, it’s not coming back.

Everyone has to make the best of what is. Pining for what never has been, in our lifetimes, is fantasy thinking. It is romanticism.

Conservatism is, fundamentally, realism. The realistic purpose of politics is to make the present better, achieving concrete goals according to an unsentimental understanding of physical reality and human nature.

Wrong. That’s the same nonsense Bush Jr gave ys.

There is mo justification for any country saying they have decided to make themselves world cop. That’s neocon talk, so use what you wrote (that I’m responding to) to come up with something that isn’t neocon in nature.

Scalia and others sure don’t agree with you in how they interpret the Constitution, Trump doesn’t, and neither does Rand Paul, Tucker Carlson Gaetz MTG, etc.

From the evidence that’s come out in Congressional hearings, the bulk (by far) of Bidens influence peddling grift has come out of China, not Ukraine.

Ukraine was, I think, incidental in the controversies of 2018-19. Burisima-Hunter Biden was a case that Trump could latch on to because it was blatant and well documented. Everyone concerned was too dumb to cover their tracks. And the Democrats hit back with an absurd impeachment.

And then people started constructing fantasies (like yours, above) around Ukraine, because the name was in the news.

Truth - Ukraine was just another instance of grift by the penny-ante crooks that are the Biden family. Its not the center of the US political universe.

“There is no justification for any country saying they have decided to make themselves world cop. “

No. This is an “honor” that, historically, has simply happened. Its never chosen, not deliberately. In the cases we can examine, historically, it’s very rarely an explicit goal. And since it happens across many political and economic lifetimes, its never really something anyone strives for. Its recognised after the fact.

“Neocon” is a political term. One doesn’t have to be a neocon to understand history. One can despise neocons, despise the US, despise modernity, believe in communism or a flat earth, but still understand the fact of the Pax Americana.

The mud must be to the point of drying out enough that offensives and counter-offensives can be mounted. The pre-emptive airstrikes, like you are saying, are being used to stop, prevent, or significantly blunt it before it even begins.

@Petrosius So Russia meddling in Ukraine pre 2014 is bad but Obama/Nuland meddling in 2014 is good?

Not at all. I am just highlighting the hypocrisy of the Russian apologists in using U.S. involvement in internal Ukrainian politics as a justification for the Russian invasion. The Russians were just as active as the U.S. Indeed, the U.S. support for the Maidan uprising was in response to Russian meddling with Yushchenko who reversed himself, rejected the EU-Ukrainian agreement approved by the parliament, and sought an economic union with Russia. In their recounting of events, the Russian apologists always skip over this. His government would most likely have fallen without any U.S. support.

Whatever U.S. involvement in the Maidan uprising there was, it was only to amplify an already popular movement against Yushchenko. The idea that a handful of CIA agents could single-handedly overturn the government and install their chosen leader is ridiculous. The Russian apologists also conveniently pass over the fact that Yushchenko was removed by the democratically elected parliament, and not by an armed junta; as they also ignore the fact that there were two popular elections for president afterwards. Zelensky was freely elected, not installed by the CIA. Russia invaded in both 2014 and in 2022 because they do not acknowledge Ukrainian independence. All other rationalizations are just a smokescreen. They saw their chance with a weak Biden and took it.

I put the responsibility for this war exactly where it belongs, on the destabilization created when the Obama/Soros gang took over Ukraine in 2014.

First, you need to back up a few months. The destabilization started when Russia pressured/bribed Yushchenko to renege on the EU-Ukraine agreement which he previously supported and had been overwhelmingly approved by parliament. He then, on his own, sought an economic union with Russia. This is was started the protests, not some CIA plot.

Second, both Zelensky and his predecessor, Viktor Yanukovych, were elected in national elections.

The only ones responsible for this war are the Russians who invaded twice, once in 2014 and again in 2022. Nothing that happened inside Ukraine justified either of these invasions.

Look, it’s been a DC globalist satrapy since Obama’s gang got there in 2014. Even though you paid no attention when Trump got impeached for turning over the rock the DC globalists were divvying up Ukraine under, the Russians weren’t that foolish. The Russians gave absolute, unequivocal warning of what they would do if NATO membership for Ukraine and resultant NATO hordes on their border, 300 miles from Moscow, was imminent. They carried through on those warnings. They have given the same unequivocal warnings of what they will do to protect themselves from NATO when DC’s proxy gloves come off. When it’s NATO v Russia, they will be decimated conventionally. The Russians are well aware of that. They have made it crystal clear that they will immediately resort to nukes. You trust in VegPres and the globalists, I look at the reality of the situation.
