A 20-year-old Colorado woman was killed after a large rock was thrown at her vehicle. The victim was one of at least five victims of rock attacks on cars in the Denver area.

Around 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, a large rock was launched at a yellow Chevy Spark. At the time of the attack, Alexa Bartell was on the phone with her friend. The phone call went silent.

Bartell's friend used an app to locate Alexa’s phone. The friend found Alexa's Spark in a field off the road. The 20-year-old woman was dead inside her car near Denver, Colorado.

Police suspect that the rock was thrown from another vehicle or from the side of the road.

‘My point is that pot great reduces inhibitions, not causes behavior.’

and I’ll bet you that your extensive knowledge of the effects of cannabis comes from years of widespread usage of it; otherwise, you would have no credible idea of that which you speak...

Or from an overpass.

Many of the overpasses in Los Angeles - especially ones for pedestrians - are caged in or have high fences along the sides b/c rocks and other heavy objects were being thrown onto the cars below.

Many of the overpasses have been taken over by homeless - they are cleared out - and the homeless reappear within days.
Especially bad along the 110.

Chronic usage of MJ leads to a lazy life, that leads to loss of jobs, family tired of supporting a bum, and eventually more likely to be homeless. My wife and her sons smoke often, my children by another mother and grandchildren smoke often. I don’t get it at all. I smoked before marriage and kids, and always thought after the kids were grown up, I would pick it back up, and looked forward to it. The thing is, what I thought was fun and relaxing, was not anything like that. Two attempts, and I realized it was daylight outside, but I felt like it was end of the day. I already sleep 8 hrs, why do I want to be in a stoned state for the other 16 hrs? I am trapped in these relationships, and can see all of the downside. Mainly it is like alcoholism, it runs in families. Not genetic, but in the other ways. Nothing is fun unless stoned for them. Wake and bake, is not uncommon. I hate it, but am seen as an accessory grandpa to all.

You are off base, drinking and smoking are Yin and Yang to most people today. They don’t do one or the other, they participate in the full panoply of mind alteration.

anti-pot warriors? How about pro-pot warriors. One common denominator in black households is MOST smoke. They are also the breeding ground for 80% of violent crime, and I bet the violent mobs in the street are not drunk but high.

There is no one size fits all solution, but State Licensed pot stores are not making America a better place to live.

Who wants government regulations, but regulators? How about allow people to grow their own, but criminalize the sale of Weed? THC levels of 22%+ are now the norm. The current system incentivizes stronger and stronger MJ.

In a perfect world, alcohol would be restricted to beers and wine, the same should be the law for Marijuana. A limit on strength of intoxicants.

Many years ago someone dropped a cinderblock through my dad’s windshield. It went through the passenger side, and he was not injured.

Neither are state-licensed liquor stores.

I suspect someone from the homeless camps along the highways.

That seems unlikely.

The attackers had a vehicle. There were four of these rock-through-the-windshield attacks reported within two hours in the evening of April 19 and they were in a roughly ten-mile radius at hillside ambush points along four different roadways.

The was a fifth attack on April 20 at 12:24am. Police believe there were several other attacks which have not been reported.

Police are looking for "a light-colored pickup or SUV". They believe there were multiple attackers in the vehicle.

No suspects have yet been identified.

Except there were fewer long term smokers when it was illegal, just my observation. As people grew up, they quit buying it and quit smoking. Just my observation, now the weed stores are busier than Costco the day before Thanksgiving.

That could be. Perhaps they can catch up with the damage done by alcohol since prohibition was repealed - but they’re going to have to work hard for decades to do so.

I suppose if you are one of the millions of “idle rich” in this country, you can afford to lead a lazy life.

You would think so, but nobody in my family makes close to 70K. That was my point, that it is not for leisure it is like coffee in the am, pm, dinner, and bedtime. Like a beer, or a cig.
