Environmental lawyer and anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to run for president in 2024 as a Democrat.
The filing was confirmed Wednesday by his campaign treasurer, John E. Sullivan.
The 69-year-old is the son of former New York senator, US attorney general and assassinated 1968 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy and the nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy.
In March, Kennedy tweeted that he was considering a run.
“If it looks like I can raise the money and mobilize enough people to win, I’ll jump in the race,” he said. “If I run, my top priority will be to end the corrupt merger between state and corporate power that has ruined our economy, shattered the middle class, polluted our landscapes and waters, poisoned our children, and robbed us of our values and freedoms. Together we can restore America’s democracy.”
His tweet pointed supporters to his website.
“Let Bobby know you want to see his leadership in the White House,” the site says while asking for donations.
This is a breaking story and will be updated.

I compare him to a Tulsi Gabbard type as far as their political position. I admire some of it. Refreshing for sure.
RFK Jr. has been affiliated with the biggest ambulance chasing law firm in the world—Morgan & Morgan. Every third commercial in Florida touts M&M. Before cell phones, Morgan & Morgan owned the back cover of every telephone book. Awful.
I watched interviews several times, I like him. The junk yard dogs are sharpening their teeth
He’s going to learn real quick how fast his party will turn on him, especially with his belief on vaccines and big Pharma. A lot of libs are too young to remember the Kennedy Dynasty and the respect they demanded so many years ago. I did like John, Jr. when asked in an interview the first thing he’d do if elected President: “Lower taxes!”
Yep — "Peggy Noonan, please pick up the white courtesy phone."
Absolutely agree. But the campaign ads will learn them real quick. I don't like RFK Jr's affiliation with Morgan & Morgan. Bad news.
Excellent disruptor. He will run 2nd behind Slow Joe in every primary. Hell he might win Iowa and New Hampshire. Gruesome is finished for 2024.
Probably the only democrat I’d consider voting for. COVID response is one of the few issues that could be simply single issue for me. I simply can’t vote for anyone who advocated the government’s diabolical response and the cover up.
This is out of the blue. I didn’t see this coming. It’s just what the Democrat Party needs … to be pulled apart at the seams. At least on some issues, Kennedy sounds like a Blue Dog Democrat. He should fear for his life. The Marxist majority will be attacking with fury.
Kennedy may very well be an outsider who’s willing and able to go up against the Democrat establishment in the same way Trump has done against the GOP establishment. I’m sure he’s wealthy, but I don’t know if he’s wealthy enough that he doesn’t need deep state money to finance his campaign, in the way that Trump was able to do.
But if Kennedy really is a viable candidate who’s genuinely reform minded and not controlled by the DS, having a Kennedy vs. Trump matchup in 2024 might be our best chance of a fair election, being as the DS would view either one as a threat. We hear about the illusion of choice in our election system and how the Uniparty controls both R and D candidates in order to ensure they’ll get the outcome they want. What if two independent patriots squared off instead?
He has no chance in hell. I want him to raise hell as hard as he can, and his campaign to raise hell as hard as it gets. So much it can get measured on hardness scales.
This ought to be fun!
If Trump doesn’t get the nomination, then i’d strongly consider voting for him.
Joe is in deep trouble
Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. (born January 17, 1954) is an American environmental lawyer and author known for promoting anti-vaccine propaganda ..."
What if the pubbirs run Romney
Yeah, he’s not the type of Kennedy they like. Actually, JFK was relatively conservative by Dem standards and there’s always speculation that this was his doom. LBJ, despite being a Texan, was much more of a statist.
I wouldn’t vote for him even on a bet
But I like that he may be a spoiler for the democrats
It’s tough to listen to him speak
Ambulance chasing Morgan & Morgan are plenty wealthy enough to buy an election.
