After recovering from the 'initial shock' of a grand jury indictment against him, President Trump is now raging about the judge who is expected to preside over the case.
Trump, 76, will be arraigned in Manhattan at 2.15pm on Tuesday on an array of business fraud charges relating to 2016 hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.
He has denied any wrongdoing, and says he is the victim of a politically-motivated witch hunt led by the famously Democratic Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
Yesterday, Judge Juan Merchan was spotted arriving at the Manhattan criminal courthouse in casual clothes last night flanked by two security officers, leading many to believe that he has been chosen for the case.
Merchan previously presided over the Trump Organization fraud trial, where the family business was fined $1.2million on a range of charges.
On Friday morning, Trump took to Truth Social to complain that Merchan 'hates' him and had been 'handpicked' by Bragg and his cronies.

Not my intention. A small Army supplemented by National Guard/Reserves. A Navy that is somewhat larger than that Army due to the specialized nature of Sea warfare that doesn’t lend itself to a reservist force. We have a nuclear deterrent, two oceans and 2 friendly neighbors (for the moment just count Mexico as not a belligerent, there are issues there). We could probably end the entire Ukraine issue by us withdrawing from NATO and let Europe take care of it self, cajole Taiwan into a Compact of Free Association with the PRC, and have China reign in NK as we stand down in SK and have them finally end their war.

That is the most salient point of this debate. And you are right.
Trump had the savvy, the chutzpah and the money to take on this challenge of the presidency, because he saw the need for America First and thought he could win.
But, his life and his company took a big hit when he won, though he never really dwelled on it.
We need more America First citizen politicians stepping up. But after the way they went after Trump—from a well liked celebrity to comparisons to Hitler—his experience served an example to others what will happen to them if they dare to challenge establishment orthodoxy.
They have six ways to Sunday I heard a well placed New York politician once say. I suspect not many would want to sign up for that.

At the end of the day he will most likely be vindicated. I wish I had the link but there was a story that compared to what John Edwards tried to pull when he ran for President. Now there was a classic piece of human flotsam. He was even sleezier than Clinton which took some doing.

I’m not. It’s good to have dialogue. I don’t take anything said here personally. I hope that no one else takes it personally. Just having spirited debate on a slow Friday. If anyone here was close by I would gladly have a beer with anyone here.

I don’t pretend to know about any of Trump’s other girlfriends, assignations, or whatever, but I do know one thing about Stormy Daniels— they couldn’t wash her clean enough for Trump.
Oh, and she looks like an overmedicated cow, but that’s two things.
No not a saint. Far from it, but I can expect better from those I choose to represent myself and the country.
I would say I am more of a classical liberal than what is currently classified as liberal. Not sure how that would be called politically. I guess it depends on the subject.
