“Vivek Ramaswamy”

Seems good to me so far as well. But I’ve not seen much.

Certainly welcome in the primary.

I agree with you on Nikki.

I bet Trump nicknames him “Ramaswampy”.

"...if Trump wins the primary, he can’t win in the general."

I would not say a hard can't. But at this point, I too believe he would lose.

As I said above, whether Don is deep or dupe, the DS loves a populist in the R party. Who is transitioning the R party to personal loyalty instead of issue loyalty. A setup destined to harm the party and the nation. Regardless the high some have now fawning over an entertaining SuperEgo, populism is NOT a strength, it is a cancer.

The DS would love Don to beat the FL Freedom candidate in the primary. Then get whipped in the general. And they won't even hide the cheating, which is always there Trump or no Trump. In your face. To depress you. And trigger the Trump-or-we-quit loser mentality.

The 2024 election could turn out to be a DS Suppression Election. Same as suppression polls but more strategic with longer harm to the party.

Good one.

Though I believe Trump likes all comers but Ron.

To split the anti-Trump primary votes. Today Don fears only Ron.

The “two party system” has been so distorted by modern political techniques that it would be better if we did away with them.

The motivation to vote now is, “which one do you hate more”. Each party must have one thing people want, and one thing they hate. This is why it’s always 51-49, or 49-51.

If you hate social liberalism more than you want labor rights and an economy for America’s benefit, you vote (R). If you hate globalism and parasites destroying productive labor more than you want social conservatism, you vote (D).

What if you could have social conservatism and an interventionist government on labor issues and which would attack globalism at the roots?

You would win every election with 75% of the vote, which is why you can’t have that.

And "FReepers" run around with their hair on fire? Ok.

Obviously I can't prove anything, but my guess is that we have a significant number of Freeper accounts that are paid disinformation agents (aka paid trolls). However, this is true of all web forums and social media at this point. The internet is the an incredible useful tool for manipulation of public perception and opinion, and there is simply NO WAY that the usual suspects are not going to take advantage of that fact.

Nothing in your courageous and wise post I disagree with. Nothing at all.

I also agree that Trump only fears DeSantis and will tolerate others in the primary he does not consider threats, and even welcome their splitting the votes of those who have grown weary of Trump and all the drama he stirs up. (But I suspect he won’t be able to resist “Ramaswampy” or perhaps even “Dramaswampy”.)

I accept the argument, but there is a difference between a tempered, mature response, and an unhinged, immature lashing out.

I think attitudes like yours are a symptom of a national weakening of the spirit, where once we were a fairly tough people, being pioneers who cut a civilization out of a raw continent, and now we flinch so completely from any confrontation, that even forceful language seems "unhinged".

We are in one of the worst moments of crisis in this country's entire history, except that now this crisis affects not just the USA, but the world, and if this crisis ends badly for us, it will result in a global tyranny and horror beyond anything that authors such as Orwell could have imagined. In my opinion, any freedom-loving citizen or politician should be using nothing less than the "unhinged" language of revolution, just as our forefathers did, because we are facing a tyranny far worse than what was fought to establish this country.

“Trump is out of my life completely.”

I’m sure Trump is shattered and he’ll miss you a lot.

“Trump’s unstable temperament is his downfall.”

His temperament is the same as it was in 2016. So I guess the definition of “downfall” is “win in a landslide”.

“He basically hands his opponents ammo to use against him.”

No. They use what they can, and they will use anything at all. If its not good enough they will make it up. A mean tweet is the best they got. Believe me, they would love for him to stumble and blubber around like Biden.

But they use whatever is available, and good “conservatives” without a ball to pass around between them, accept it and wag their finger at Trump while ignoring the commies and the homos dancing in front of their kids. They ignore the maiming of our children and the political persecution of normal Americans. They ignore the blatant corruption, and the molestation of children by their commander in chief, and give him a pass on rape allegations. They ignore men competing against women.

These people should be ashamed of themselves for the level of cowardice and foolishness they demonstrate.

“While you might see the humor”

I don’t trust people without a sense of humor.

“many people do not”

Then they should be real upset about what’s going on, right? Do they think the prospect of nuclear war is funny? Or are they taking that serious too? If so, these serious Americans, which one should they think is worse? The hair falling out or the “not funny tweet”. This is stupid.

Naw, I don’t accept the premise. The people are not being allowed to vote. This condition is as clear as the sun at noon on a clear day.

“That leaves Vivek Ramaswamy. I don’t know that much about him, but what I’ve learned so far is promising.”

The WEF has him on their list as one of their promising young leaders.

Is was reported that during the week before his announcement his staff was scrubbing all of his anti-MAGA posts.

“It was not even funny and has no benefit.”

Yes, but this is not the point. The point is, who cares? We need to keep our eye on the ball.

When some blue hair comes by and tries to use this as an argument we need to smile and tell him to sit and spin.

Uh, no maybe don’t say that. We should tell him to go piss up a rope!

These things should not faze us a bit. If Trump started taking payments from China, or molesting little girls on TV, maybe then we should get concerned.... but for now, only our opponent does that and we give him a pass then complain about Trump sticking up for himself.

That is so dumb, I can’t even believe it.

Instead we are forced to defend something stupid that Trump did, AGAIN!

Don’t defend it. The election is a long time from now. Nobody will remember.

I found a Venguswamy Ramaswamy and a Dr. Satya Ramaswamy associated with WEF, but no Vivek Ramaswamy. Do you have a link proving his actual association or endorsement? He claims he asked WEF not to name him as a promising young leader and refused to accept the reward.

If he made anti-MAGA posts, surely there are screenshots or archives?

I am not doubting you read these things. I just wonder where the truth lies. So many lies and half-truths floating around the web. Maybe he is lying or covering up. Maybe others lied about him or were confused.

Just because I may not agree with how Trump reacts sometimes doesn’t mean I ignore everything else going on. Believe it or not but most people can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Trump is not God and he is not infallible. He does some stupid things sometimes because he is human. I think anybody who is not a total true believer would agree that he made some horrible personnel choices in the White House. He may have gotten more votes last election but that does not mean Jack **** if the other guy gets even more votes than you. Resisting mail in voting was also a dumb thing to do. Democrats were able to get all their ducks in a row before Election Day and here we are….standing on long lines, dealing with broken voting machines.

It is anecdotal but I personally saw a sea change in how many in the public viewed Trump in 2020 versus 2016. It was harder to get volunteers for Trump in 2020. I remember the Trump trains in 2016 when passers by were honking their horns and people were lined up alongside the road to watch. In 2020 along some of the same routes, very little horn honking, ALOT more middle fingers and fists and hardly anybody lining up on the road as spectators. Some of that was COVID of course but my impression was that there was less enthusiasm than in 2016.
