When Will Stubborn Trump Loyalists Face Inconvenient Truths?
American Thinker ^ | 03/24/23 | Geoffrey Hunt

Posted on 03/24/2023 9:27:50 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Stubborn Trump supporters, especially the most fervent, seem unwilling to challenge the deedless covenant, ask the hard questions that if answered truthfully would confirm that Donald Trump has been a supreme letdown, and his failures -- including the re-election debacle -- self-inflicted.

Promises made, promises kept? Not when it mattered.

Drain the swamp? Spinning around in an airboat.

Trump never cleaned up the FBI, instead hired the Dem sympathizer Christopher Wray as Director, and except for a few gratuitous tweets about his incompetence, left him in place.

Gina Haspel, CIA chief, kept the job until the last day despite the likelihood she was knee-deep with John Brennan in the active sabotage of Trump’s 2015-2016 campaign and incoming president-elect transition.

Trump appointed, then tolerated clueless insubordinates and leakers like Rex Tillerson, John Kelly, JR McMaster, James Mattis, and Gary Cohn, until the damage was done, and Trump’s agenda crippled.

When will unyielding Trump loyalists answer the following questions?

Why did Trump endlessly rail against billions in federal budget giveaways to Dem darlings like Planned Parenthood, and Marxist countries, but signed the bills anyhow?

Why couldn’t Trump get illegal immigration fixed -- beyond executive orders easily overturned — and get Obamacare reversed when he had a Republican Senate and House? Why did Trump let Paul Ryan ruin his platform? Why did Trump deliberately antagonize John McCain knowing McCain would undercut the final vote on debriding Obamacare? Why did Trump willfully persist with a toxic persona, alienating suburban voters that cost him (and us) the House in 2018 and led to the first impeachment and a MAGA agenda declared morte by the Democrats?

Why did Trump never de-classify all the Obamagate documents, and release all of the Biden laptop evidence?

Oh come on. The first thing Trump needed to do is go on the rampage about it. Not let the matter die in the court of public opinion. He had plenty of die hard supporters who could put pressure everywhere.

If President Trump is elected again, what would be different this term from the previous one, and why?

I would think that Trump has "learned his lesson" regarding appointments such as Wray and others who turned on him, many of whom were recommended by those he supposedly trusted.

I have the impression that DeSantis would not have appointed these people, and would have fired them without any qualms should it have been necessary to continue his policies.

There were definitely plans offered to Trump for how he could get Mexico to pay for the wall, such as getting a large tax on Western Union money transfers to Mexico, that the illegals would have to pay, but he never even entertained any of them.

So he never had his own plan, nor did he want to follow anyone else’s plan to make Mexico pay for the wall. He wanted US to pay for it, which is one of the main reasons it failed.

Just like he misrepresents the facts by claiming that his tariffs are paid by China, when they’re actually taxes on the US consumer.

Don’t be an idol worshiper. I plan on voting for Trump. But I see the bad as well as the good.

All in for Trump. DeSantis maybe if Trump doesn’t get the nomination, which doesn’t seem likely at this time.

Yep! My wife had been on HCQ since 2009...fibro & lupus.

I said the exact same thing. When they said HCQ was “deadly” I KNEW they were just pulling crap out of their butts and throwing everything at the wall to see if ANYTHING would stick!

As long as people I hate insist on attacking Trump he will have my support since I know he must be doing something right.

Flawed logic. No matter who is POTUS, McConnell will do the picking. Let’s hope his puny traitorous head will be six feet under by then. Maybe his successor WON’T be Chinese.

And....... “China will pay the Tariffs.”

Actually, American importers paid to the US Customs at the time of the importation all the tariffs on goods from China

In effect, all the tariffs paid as duties on China goods were actually taxes paid by American taxpayers

A lot of things in this article may be true, but President Trump is still the best choice for president in 2024.

As of now, he’s about the only choice.
