Russia's president Vladimir Putin, 70, is taking tanks as old as he is out of storage in his desperate bid to crush Ukraine on the battlefield.
A video showing long obsolete Soviet-era T-54B and T-55A tanks - designed to be used in the armies of Soviet tyrant Josef Stalin - on a train carried across Russia, presumably destined for the frontlines of the war, has emerged.
It comes with Putin having already raided museums and storage depots for retired T-62 battle tanks, which halted production 12 years ago.
The geriatric T-54 was originally produced by Stalin after the Second World War in 1946, but Putin seems to be sending to war an updated version from the early 1950s - some 70 years old, the same age as the dictator.
Putin is fond of boasting of the prowess of his military capabilities. However, since his forces crossed the border into Ukraine over a year ago, his armies have been exposed as being outdated both tactically and in terms of equipment.

What you are likely to see this year is the Ukrainians following up retreating Russians as they evacuate through the isthmus of Perekop.
These memes are awesome LOL
Khazarian mafia?
You guys live in a weird world. More of a fantasy novel than reality.
Obviously the FR version of Jan Sobieski is not Polish.
“”You know how it is when, late in the forth quarter one team is leading 110 to 6 and the winning coach starts substituting in the B and C team players...””
You understand that inferior and insufficient weapons and supplies mean thousands more dead men for the Russians, perhaps 10s of thousands, and possibly losing the war, and possibly getting Putin removed, right?
Love to see them drag out a KV-2 if any still exist. Impractical, but what a beast.
We’ll see...
heh heh heh heh...
This war is leading to a military build-up in the nations of the West and of the world that oppose China.
Are you kidding?
With China and Russia in charge of the new world order, nothing good could conceivably come of it.
Instead, the world will return to that of 19th century empire builders, where big authoritarian powers invade and annex their weaker neighbors.
Many of today's 195 mostly small & weak independent countries will be absorbed into their more aggressive neighbors.
The new world, after a Russian victory over Ukraine, will not be friendly to us, or our allies, and we will not like it.
Ukraine and Taiwan are only the beginning.
Their crews aren't expendable.
And they would be vastly worse than modern tanks at resisting attack from modern tanks, when the Ukrainians advance.
You go to war with what you have, not what you wish you had. In combat, everyone is expendable and modern battlefield is an extremely lethal place so people are going to die no matter what tank they are in.
Fact is, the way tanks are being deployed in the Ukraine war, the T55 is not an ineffective weapon.
And it's just as easy to hit a T-90 as it is a T-55 with a modern anti tank weapon and both are going to be just as dead after they are hit.
FWIW, the Russians are reportedly deploying a scary effective next gen counter battery system in Ukraine. One can think of a pretty effective strategy to use a mobile T-55 in combo with the new Russian counter battery system that is effective and surprisingly survivable for the T-55 crew in the current Ukraine environment.
About T-55 being effective ... they’re very effective against civilians and enabled Russia to support dictators like Huissen and Assad; but, no match against our forces or rebels supplied by us.
The question really isn’t Russia, it’s Ukraine. How long will Ukrainians fight for their country? We saw that Iraqis and Afghanis weren’t man enough to defend their country against the Islamic State or the Taliban. Now they are slaves. That’s the way the world works.
If Ukrainians will continue to fight for their country, Russia will collapse like it did during WWI and in 1991. It will be an internal collapse. Russia - the country - has never been defeated by an external power. Not by King Charles of Sweden, nor by Napoleon, nor by Hitler. But there have been times that its armies were defeated and it collapsed internally.
Bkmk
How much are they paying these rags
What I would like to see is for you to explain that silly sports post as a reason to issue inferior tanks to your men and get them killed.
And this was reported as fact by whom?
Reports are 4-7 uke brigades trapped now
Who knows
What a waste
Pelham see the connection
I told u
