Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) will remain under care at an inpatient rehabilitation facility with no known timetable for his release after he suffered a rib fracture and concussion.
McConnell, 81, was discharged from hospital in mid-March on receiving treatment for tripping at a reception and private dinner at a Washington, DC, hotel hosted by the Senate Leadership Fund.
According to his office, McConnell continues to undergo physical therapy to improve his physical wellness. It’s unknown when he might be ready to return to his vigorous Senate responsibilities.

First thing I thought of!
McConnell’s left leg never fully recovered from childhood polio.
He ran in 1984 as an acolyte of former maverick (really Democrat) liberal Republican Senator John Sherman Cooper.
Because of the imbalance with Uncle Fester and the San Fran gal out, Mitch has to sit out these days. He is a dem.
LOL!!!
They could wheel the corpse of Fetterman in to join them.
“Cracked ribs are sooooo painful. Happened to my mom when she was older.”
No they aren’t. The only time they hurt is when you try to lay down, and/or sit back up. I’ve cracked two (on the same side) in the last 8-10 years. Had to sleep in my recliner for about a month each time. Coughing, or sneezing was a bitch, but if you’re upright, you barely notice it.
Misinformation!
Turtles don’t have ribs.
The turtle’s shell is the turtle equivalent of a human’s rib bones.
“every breath hurts with broken ribs”
When laying flat? Yes. Other then that, no they don’t.
Feinstein has been non compos mentis for years, yet still hung onto her seat in the Senate. Fetterman is non compos mentis, and now in a psychiatric facility, yet the people of Pennsylvania still elected him. Words fail me!
Assault Treadmill takes out another Senator.
Special election 2024. Replacement until jan2025
Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility

Nursing home...
I suspect the median age of guest, is 70+.
“ minor rib fracture and concussion”
Sure sounds like an 81 yr old with serious underlying debilitation
Stroke maybe

That was exactly what I was thinking. This wasn’t a simple fall. I can’t stand the dude but I hope he fully recovers and steps down. Go spend time with the family, while you have time left.
Our government is filling up with these fossils that should have retired a long time ago. Much past about 70 no one belongs in the workforce at any level.
There is hardly a better example of ossified thinking than McConnell, Pelosi, and Biden.

I wouldn’t necessarily cast the net that wide. Now personally, I have zero desire to be working when I reach 70...unless I’m a starter at the local golf course. :)
Note that Rand Paul, after he was assaulted by libtard neighbor Rene Boucher, also broke ribs plural and indeed that induced a case of pneumonia, which he handled as off-patient but was no easy ride.
It's easy enough to dislike Miotch but more importantly, rather than rant-and-rave, we ought to be praying as Freepers that Miotch understands his time in the limelight is over.
Unfortunately we are going to have to wait for Cameron to seize the Goobernor's seat later this year to put Miotch out to pasture.
To explain a little further for the people from Rio Linda -- Miotch cannot retire until Lil' Andy Beshear is fired in November, so Miotch's replacement can be named by a GOP Goobernor in Kentucky.
SB 228 puts 3 choices in front of whoever is the Goobernor. In any list of 3, Beshear would find the dog, there's no way around this, the obvious list would be Comer, Cameron, and Massie? But Miotch isn't Massie's biggest fan, so would you punt Hal Rogers as the retirement pick, ie, Hal would agree not to run for re-election? The other problem is, this law which has never been challenged, would be challenged by the Democrats, and while it might clear Federal District, if by some rando you caught the two Clintonites on the 6th Circuit, you could potentially wait for SCOTUS to intervene. If you have a GOP Goobernor, you avoid this problem, as no Democrat would have standing to challenge.
What a cluster…
