Unlike McCarthy? And hasn’t DeSantis had the time to travel out of state to speak at various events, and hasn’t he had time for a book tour? I’m going to hold off on being overly critical of DeSantis on this issue until we see what happens on Tuesday, but he certainly could speak out now, as others have, if he wanted to. He’s certainly not too busy to make a brief statement on the matter.

That does NOT say he’s being arrested tuesday. It says he MAY be INDICTED sometime next week. Vastly different.
DeSantis will allow and even urge anyone to act, if it means getting Trump out of the way. That means a democrat is welcome to take out Trump, or a neverTrump RINO, or Biden. It’s not advantageous for DeSantis to speak against anyone attempting to take out Trump.
Trump is the only one that can take DeSantis out of the race, so, DeSantis would rather take Trump out early, by any means possible.
Yet he had time to go out on a book tour.
Doesn't take much time to formulate an opinion on this and then state it.
The issue of tyranny goes beyond ones feelings about Donald Trump.
I have an uneasy feeling that the unrest that LEO are preparing for, is another government sponsored riot, and is the main purpose behind arresting Trump. It may be that we’re witnessing another attempt to discredit Trump - not with the charges themselves, but by “discrediting” his followers as dangerous subversives, through another staged event.
And yet we do need to protest. But we need to do so wisely. And we need to choose the locations wisely.

This is stupid. If DeSantis were about to be arrested and indicted, do you think Trump would be standing up for him? More likely, he would be piling on.
Being quiet is probably his best course of action for now. Why make yourself the story when you’re not the story?
I doubt that. Trump has often defended his political rivals when they have been treated unfairly. Bernie Sanders is a good example. Trump has been highly critical of him but has also spoken out at how unfairly he was treated by the DNC during the 2016 primaries. And this was despite Sanders long history of criticizing Trump.
