This is stupid. If DeSantis were about to be arrested and indicted, do you think Trump would be standing up for him? More likely, he would be piling on.
Being quiet is probably his best course of action for now. Why make yourself the story when you’re not the story?
I doubt that. Trump has often defended his political rivals when they have been treated unfairly. Bernie Sanders is a good example. Trump has been highly critical of him but has also spoken out at how unfairly he was treated by the DNC during the 2016 primaries. And this was despite Sanders long history of criticizing Trump.
