Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) called for gender-neutral bathrooms in schools on Thursday, in response to a town hall question from a transgender Virginia teenager.
“Look at me. I am a transgender man,” Niko, a 17-year-old from Arlington, Va., said at a CNN town hall. “Do you really think that the girls in my high school would feel comfortable sharing a restroom with me?”
Youngkin, who issued a series of restrictive guidelines to Virginia schools last fall related to transgender students, said on Thursday that it was important to accommodate students.
“That’s why I have said many, many times, we just need extra bathrooms in schools,” he said. “We need gender-neutral bathrooms and so people can use the bathroom that they, in fact, are comfortable with.”
Youngkin’s guidelines would require transgender students to participate in activities and use school facilities that align with the sex they were assigned at birth. It would also make it more difficult for students to change their name or gender presentation at school.
However, the suggestion that transgender students can use gender-neutral bathrooms in response to such restrictions faces legal challenges elsewhere in the country.
Several transgender students in Oklahoma are suing the state over such a policy, which required them to use “a single-occupancy restroom or changing room” if they declined to use facilities matching their sex assigned at birth under a new law.
Youngkin generally doubled down on several of his controversial education policies at the town hall, including barring transgender athletes from participating in sports that match their gender identity and forbidding the instruction of “inherently divisive concepts, including critical race theory,” which is an academic framework that examines the influence of racism on institutions.

But I will say, that unisex bathrooms are very common in various venues.
We used to call them unisex. In the last 10 years it was “family bathroom” in our stores and malls. Meant for whom ever had the baby to change…but was a full bathroom.
So it’s really not new, but named specially for the latest freaks.
In fact, my work had a hidden “family BR”, which now they label “gender-neutral” to make themselves PC. All they did was change the signs.
Youngkin’s just another milquetoast Mike Pence-wanna-be Assistant Democrat.

In my child’s case, it was a particular variant of non-classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia, a condition that manifests during puberty. There are 108 known variants. In her case, it caused hyperandrogenism, gender dysphoria, and when she hit puberty, her body began masculinizing naturally.
Her brain was recognizing the free-floating adrenal androgens as testosterone and set her puberty signals accordingly. My beautiful baby girl was morphing into a boy; deep voice, facial hair, dense muscle, squared jaw. If you met her, you would think she is a studious and polite young man.
Consulted with specialists as far away as Canada. Spent at least $30K trying to find a cure, only to be told we were too late to slow it down and it was only going to get worse. It consumed years of my life and was hell.
But even here on FR, we get the dipsh*ts that know next to nothing about these conditions and presume everyone is a pretender.

Every parent is upset by anything going “wrong” with their child. I hope your daughter can find peace with her condition.
That’s what it’s all about.

Less than 1% of the population is born intersexed or atypical.
NCCAH is relatively common, particularly among Italians and Ashkenazi Jews (my children are descended from both); statistically, about 1:200 people. Most people, like my husband and I, live their whole lives not knowing they have it. When two carriers reproduce, it increases the likelihood that this recessive gene becomes manifest.
My daughter’s specific variant impacts less than 1/10th of 1% of the population, a very small number. That is why I call this explosion of kids identifying as trans as pretenders. The large majority are just confused, groomed, or need therapy. Even kids who may be experiencing adrenal surges during puberty usually level out by 21 to 24 years old and the dysphoria goes away, which is why I am enraged that clinics are butchering children. That is not based on science at all, and I spent years learning about and studying these issues in an attempt to find a cure.
To give you an idea of how much the endocrine system in general, and the adrenal system specifically, can impact a person, women who go manic during post-partum depression and kill their children are experiencing adrenal deficiencies or thyroid issues.
My youngest son also has it, but in his case, it resulted in premature bone maturation and sterility (different variant emerged). No gender dysphoria.
Some natural abnormalities exist, but deliberative mutilation of one’s body is not natural.
Yes, I’ve been in quite a few bathrooms that are ‘neutral’ and you never know who you’re gonna find when you come out to wash your hands. One time I ran into a guy from work at a restaurant and it was startling, but funny.
Who knew things would get this crazy. For God’s sake, using tge bathroom can’t be this complicated. God damned malcontents just stay at home with your non binary ass.

Single use bathrooms will not solve this problem because the trans-mafia don’t want it solved. Their goal is to force you to let them use the same bathroom as what they “identify as” uses. Besides, give them an inch and they’ll take a yard. Trying to appease them only encourages them.
