Graham says he will introduce bill to ‘set the stage’ for US to use military force in Mexico

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Monday said he was prepared to introduce legislation to “set the stage” for U.S. military force in Mexico, saying it was time to “get tough” on the neighboring country after four Americans were kidnapped by armed men this week.

Graham told Fox News host Jesse Watters that he would follow the advice of former President Trump on Mexico policy.

“I would put Mexico on notice,” Graham said. “If you continue to give safe haven to drug dealers, then you are an enemy of the United States.”

Graham added he would “introduce legislation to make certain Mexican drug cartels foreign terrorist organizations under U.S. law and set the stage to use military force if necessary.”

“I would tell the Mexican government if you don’t clean up your act, we’re going to clean it up for you,” the senator said.

It was unclear what type of legislation the GOP lawmaker was suggesting. The Hill has reached out to Graham’s office for clarification.

Lindsey is himself bought.

Lindsey has not figured out that the Globalist Corporation money, Cartel money, ChiCom money have bought many Federal, State, County officials (Sheriff’s, Judges, public officials at all levels)

He thinks he is the only person who took big money.

When Lindsey demands that the resources being sent to Ukraine be redirected toward defending our borders, I’ll listen to him.

Until then, it’s just another excuse for Lindsey to excite his pal$ at the Pentagon.

Mexico is a failed state. I wish we had a president who actually cared. Give the mexican govt an ultimatum. You will either help us or get out of our way while we militarily destroy all the cartels or we will occupy mexico.

I would start with a big beautiful impenetrable wall.

Insanity.

Tax outbound remittances 33%, seal the border, 15-25% import duty on most products, economic sanctions on the cartels leadership, and strongly recommend no travel to Mexico by US citizens.

1916 all over again?

Pretty sure the Mexican government would protect the cartels as 'their' problem and any incursion will be met with force.

So we won’t secure the border, but we’ll send the military into Mexico. Nuts.

FFS - build the border wall.

FFS - Quit giving tax-funded goodies to illegal aliens. It would automatically reduce crime in both Mexico and these United States, as Mexicans and OTMs would have much less incentive to come here.

_______________________________________________________

If we actually acted like we had a border and scrutinized all traffic across/near the border, we could easily choke off large quantities of drugs. As it stands, I don’t like the sound of “in Mexico”. It sounds like more Neo-Con excuses to invade people and set up puppet governments.

Too bad he didn't say something and stick up for Trump when "sources" were tsk tsking for suggesting we bomb the cartels. It's a damned better idea than throwing away money and resources on the corrupt pUkerainians.
