Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Monday said he was prepared to introduce legislation to “set the stage” for U.S. military force in Mexico, saying it was time to “get tough” on the neighboring country after four Americans were kidnapped by armed men this week.
Graham told Fox News host Jesse Watters that he would follow the advice of former President Trump on Mexico policy.
“I would put Mexico on notice,” Graham said. “If you continue to give safe haven to drug dealers, then you are an enemy of the United States.”
Graham added he would “introduce legislation to make certain Mexican drug cartels foreign terrorist organizations under U.S. law and set the stage to use military force if necessary.”
“I would tell the Mexican government if you don’t clean up your act, we’re going to clean it up for you,” the senator said.
It was unclear what type of legislation the GOP lawmaker was suggesting. The Hill has reached out to Graham’s office for clarification.

Not that I support this. But at least this would be one case where it would actually help Americans.
Or a mile or two of buffer zone just south of the border from Ca to the gulf.
That is a very reasonable question that deserves an answer.
He wants Russia out of Ukraine because Russia is defending the ethnic Russians in Donbass yet he wants to invade Mexico to protect Americans there, WTF??????????????????

Easy, we declare war on Mexico, lose and pay to rebuild Mexico. Of course we would pay to support Mexico during the rebuilding. Oh and Linsey gets his own Ukraine piggy bank....
Maybe if Mexico asked for help I could see this happening but what are we going to do? Just walk in there and start bombing their cartels ? We’d get more illegals than we already have.
We didn’t do too well occupying A’stan. I really can’t believe things would go better in a nation of 127 million.

at this point I don’t trust Lindsey Grahm not to have alterrier motives.
The problem is the GOP primary voter-think about it.
He wants the feds to outlaw abortion after we fought 50 years to take it away from the them. We lost in November over this stuff and he’s safe until ‘26. He plays the game his way and his big ally Trump doesn’t see the Dr. Fauchi in him. He will do some more of this stuff and the MSM will play his game. Voters need to get a clue. Deep Red SC gave us Scott, the raghead, and Mace. There will be turnover as Scott has higher aspirations Sanford derailed himself. It’s stupid. We’ll end up fighting for Mace to be in the senate.
