The founder of Russia's Wagner group of mercenaries has warned the entire frontline will collapse if his troops in the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut do not receive more ammunition.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, whose organisation has played a significant part in Russian military successes in recent months, said his ammo-starved forces were the 'cement' holding the frontline together and the last line of defence to win the war.
'Today, Wagner is the cement that, as I've said previously, is holding the Ukrainian army in place – grinding it down, destroying it and preventing it from deploying to other regions and occupying other fronts.
'We're also moving forward and the [Russian] army is forced to follow behind us to save face and prop up their reputation... If the Wagner group pulls back, then the following situation will unfold.
'It is clear that the front will crumble, the front will crumble for the Russian borders, perhaps it crumbles even further.'
Prigozhin made the remarks in a four-minute-long video published over the weekend by a Wagner-linked Telegram channel.
But yesterday he complained that most of the ammunition that his forces were promised by Moscow last month had not yet been shipped.
'For now, we are trying to figure out the reason: is it just ordinary bureaucracy or a betrayal?' Prigozhin asked on his usual press service Telegram channel.

I would be suspicious of a Russian pullout. They have already said nukes are on the table.
It’s as if he’s advertising for the West to send a bunch more money right now!
Meanwhile 'Putin's chef' Prigozhin, a 🇷🇺 oligarch and the Wagner CEO, drinking champagne and eating butterfly shrimp in a jacuzzi is visiting his troops in Artemovsk/Bahkmut!

Does anyone know of an unbiased source of news about the Russia-Ukraine war? I only find very pro-Ukraine sources, or very pro-Russian sources and try to read between the lines but I would rather not have to do that. Like is Bakhmut in Russian hands or isn’t it? Is the city important? Have 150,000 Ukraine soldiers died? Are 15-year-olds being drafted off the streets of Kyiv Kiev or not, etc. There ought to be objective answers to these questions.
Its like asking for "objective answers" to Germany's invasion of Poland in WW2.
The problem is that there is no ammunition to be supplied. That is true not only to Wagner group, but to any where along the front
The ages old Russian play book has failed to yield the desired result. There has been lots and lots and lots of artillery shelling of Ukranian soil but instead of advancement there has been retreat. Many more Ukrainian hectares have been surrendered than have been taken
The superior Ukranian generals targeted with their drones the ammunition dumps. The storage sites were then systematically destroyed by the drone pilots sitting safely miles beyond the reach of the Russians. Lacking logistical skill and ability, The Russian Generals just can’t keep up
The key to your search/quest is the realization that this is not your(our) father’s war. This is mostly an information war, being fought in the eneMedia/DSC. Therefore, there are no real accessible “unbiased” sources. We are witnessing the fog of war. And, the fog is not caused by the smoke of bombs, but the smoke of news.
The response I take is to make more popcorn. That may sound harsh to common Ukrainians, but it’s the only viable one IMHO from this far away from the scene. Short of me personally going to eastern Ukraine, I don’t have any claim to the truth on the ground than anyone else.
Russian politics was once famously described as, “watching a dogfight taking place under a carpet.” One of the Russian YouTuber’s I follow said of this man’s criticism, sometimes the government will use one of their mouthpieces to put out a story to see what the reaction is. But if someone draws back the curtain on Russian politics without a strong patron, then that person will fall out of a window. I think because he is so well known, this guy will die heroically or in a helicopter crash. He’ll get a state funeral.
Another YouTuber’s analysis of the military’s response where they said the ammunition was distributed fairly said that if this is so then it indicates the entire line is short of ammo.
It’s war, every news outlet and think tank has picked a side. You just need to use your critical thinking to help you figure out what the truth is, because everyone is going to put their spin on it.
Quite an amusing series of communications. LOL!

She noted that the Russian leader’s previously limited popularity in the United States was due to his commitment to sports and a healthy lifestyle. But lately the trend has changed. Americans see Putin as a man who cares about his country and his people far more than they do in the White House. The publication indicates that such a metamorphosis is also a consequence of the mistrust sown between Biden and American citizens.
"It shows how desperate the American people have become, how they envy the leader of a nemesis because of his supposed exclusivity and loyalty... "In two years, life has become so surreal, unreachable, and mad enough that fleeing to Russia begins to look good for some," noted the author.
According to the author of the article, this turn of events is an indicator of the complete failure of the Biden administration. And Putin’s rise in popularity in the United States should not be taken as accidental.
