Bill Maher says he’s scared of former President Trump “on a very personal level” and “what he would do” to the comedian if he were to win the 2024 White House race.
“I am afraid of Trump on a very personal level because I don’t think he likes me. I understand why,” the HBO “Real Time” host told Jake Tapper on Tuesday as part of a CNN primetime special. “And I don’t know what he would do in a second term.”
The comic and liberal commentator said after Trump won the 2016 presidential election, “I was afraid for my own wellbeing. I thought I could wind up in Guantanamo Bay. I think I still could.”
“He’s obsessed sometimes. I don’t know. He went on a tear for about eight months when he was president every time, he’d have a rally. I have a list three pages long of the things he’s called me,” he said of the 45th president.

5m should be chump change for Maher but I think his point was Trump couldn’t take a joke.
Maybe if Maher reached out to Trump and tried to mend fences he would find Trump to be a real person and not have to fear him. Maybe, maybe not, but by not trying you’ll never know.
Trump eventually withdrew the case.
Maher has always been in the retard zone when it comes to Trump. I saw an interview with him recently where he was predicting that if Trump runs and loses in 2024, Trump would show up on Inauguration Day 2025, with tens of thousands of armed men and just seize power.
I watched almost all of Trump’s rallies and I don’t recall him ever mentioning Maher by name.

I really think Bill Maher vastly over rates his relevance to either President Trump or the populace in general.
But then, he really is a legend in his own mind.

I believe it's because none of them can possibly grasp just how much personal integrity and unalloyed courage it takes to reach and sustain a Conservative posture. You have to begin from a place of existential and nearly religious veneration for individual autonomy.
It's not a place you reach, then sit down and unpack. It's an incessant struggle and challenge...NOT for wimps!!
Trump doesn’t give two seconds of thought to this clown.
This why media flunkies host each other on their programs— to elicit some incendiary statement for their hungry audience. Don’t mean nothin’.
Trump generally will hit back at anyone if they assail him publicly. Its a knee jerk reaction, we see it all the time. The point is - its almost always reactionary - Bill can avoid the fear of the unknown by simply keeping Trumps name out of his mouth.
Why when a liberal says something slight less insane then usual and gets some blow back from the totally insane wing do some conservatives run to cuddle them to their bosoms saying that we must welcome our newest brothers?
And when those of us more in touch with reality say, "how about no?" we get labeled as mean.
And generally blamed when the brief moment of clarity passes and the liberal goes back to being a total imbecile.
Embrace reality.

Gee, I don’t know. Maybe lower inflation, the lower cost of living, lower gas and groceries prices, lower taxes, bring about world peace, etc? Like he did in his first term?

He had four years to send Maher to Guantanamo and he didn’t do it then. Maher and others like him have psychological issues which require them to always be a potential victim. I know people like this, they always think they have some serious disease or that higher powers are out to get them. There is always something in their lives that is a perceived threat to them.
Pull up your Depends Billie and everything will be okay.
Maher is a drama queen.
He must be confusing Trump with Clinton. There is no word in the Trump lexicon for Arkancide.
