How about giant earth mounted parabolic mirrored dishes, upon which we can roast these evil minions? Their carbon footprint would be brief and fleeting..And...AND the mirrored dishes will still reflect sunlight back toward the sun!

A couple of million square feet of aluminized mylar would weigh next to nothing and could easily be boosted into orbit over the North Pole. Set it perpendicular to the sun and voila - instant shadow over the pole.
It would be better to do it there and/or Antarctica. We wouldn’t want the food producing areas to suffer from lack of sunlight.
Then, when the absence of sunlight starts a new glaciation cycle and the glaciers march south to Chicago, we will have all the ice we need for frozen margaritas on Earth Day.
What could be better than that?
