Eastern Europe,
jotato is in the white hospice...
That is true. For some reason in his retirement years, he was not a friend to Israel. THAT left anyone to take from it that he just plain wasn’t a supporter or fan of Israel. The family member I spoke of disliked Reagan and adored Carter. I told her the same thing (in addition to “you’re nuts) - I could send articles to her quoting Carter about anti Israel statements and she said, “don’t bother.” That’s the old “don’t confuse me with facts.”
“Maybe itās payback for giving away the Panama Canal to the Chinese.”
Naw, just old age, it happens. We all have a lifespan and he has exceeded his. He was a terribly incompetent, destructive President but as has been mentioned he has been eclipsed by subsequent dem Presidents. When the time comes RIP JC.
“”She leads a normal family life out of the limelight.””
We could have more of that from previous first families.
Politically, I didnāt like the man. But as a human being, and as an ex president, I think he was a damned decent man.
Certainly not a communist psychopath like most of the Democrat politicians today.
Godspeed him on his journey home.
Well said. Agree.
Carter had melanoma which had appeared on his pancreas and brain. He was given a combo of immune agents, Yervoy and Keytruda in 2015 that put the cancer into complete remission. Two years earlier my beloved wife passed from melanoma with the exact same manifestations. At the time she had access only to Yervoy which did not halt the disease progression, as Keytruda had not yet entered trials.

Except, sometimes they don't die that quickly. My grandmother was on hospice care for a number of years before she died at age 104. There really wasn't anything wrong with her, i.e. cancer. I am not totally sure what hospice did for her, other than help my dad take care of her.
OMG! I am a bit young, please further my education on this mess!
He gave us Habitat for Humanity and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
sorry for mrs. Carter- they have been together a long time.
98 years oldā¦ Itās a hell of a good run.
Some of the posts on here are pretty bad; I donāt think he deserves that.
He can leave this mortal world knowing he wasnt the worst President ever.
I think it was his grandson running for GA governor.
Amen
He also had brain cancer which he recovered from, he has overcome what MOST people would not have overcome!!
May Mr. Carter be at peace and surrounded by love.

Mine too. Alternative was Ford. I was a Reagan Democrat who jumped to Carter when the Gipper lost.
Carter over that Warren Commission stooge any day of the week. The Democrats gave Nixon only Ford as their veep choice for a reason.
We got Reagan four years later. It would have been Ted Kennedy after eight years of GOP nothingness.
