What happened in East Palestine, Ohio is being called the worst environmental disaster in American history and the Biden administration is mostly ignoring it. Now members of congress are calling for Pete Buttigieg to be impeached.

WHAT???!!! How about TOTAL INCOMPETENCE and Dereliction of Duty?
So what they did, then, was create a hazardous chemical “burn pit” next to an inhabited area?
If government officials do it, it’s ok, but if WE do it it’s heavy fines and imprisonment, right?
A whole lotta people need to hang for this, starting with those at the top.
This is ridiculous hyperbole. But, but, the Republicans have a real opportunity to destroy both Buttplug and the squalid little jerk Regan at EPA who is being touted as a potential gubenatorial candidate in North Carolina. The GOP may actually do something as they have a chance to also damage the EPA which agency the donoracracy hates as well as the base. So keep up the screaming fellows. After all much of the asbestos uproar was just a hidden hand donkey operation to try and destroy Peter Grace’s corporation. Didn’t work , but EPA did destroy Johns Manville, a perfectly profitable company. The dems even had the perfect journalistic hit man put in place, Andy Schneider, the guy who tried to peddle fake atrocity pictures to the wire services when he was, briefly, a free lance photographer in Viet Nam.The Grace Company beat the bastards off but they surely tried.
HTF would you know?
Have you been there?
Stop being silly. A dozen tank cars derail and some chemicals burn. This is not the Chicago Fire but with soe effort by the GOP it can be turned into the equivalent of it. It is not what is true it is what truths matter to your side. Now we have a chance for revenge on the EPA and a shot at finishing Buttplug for good. Keep yelling.
Joe Buttplug! Is that you?
No but with some determination the GOP can destroy him for good and damage the hated EPA as well.
Our river is designated “wild and scenic” and has very limited access on the federally protected part.
Old timers around here remember when the Feds came in 1968 and took a lot of land bordering the river by imminent domain.
Now the state purchased a lot of land and calls it “historic” because the Beatles spent a couple of days here in 1964.
Amen!
I don’t blame you.
Nah, I’m not a big fan of Uncle Sam coming in and taking over
everything. Somehow folks got along fine before, without him
weaseling in.
I’m not convinced we need an EPA.
Local governments can run testing and control things.
The previous owner should have to pick up the tab for
clean-up. If the company doesn’t exist any longer,
then go to the previous CEO and other managers. Go
to the board members.
We shouldn’t have to pick up the tab for their
negligence.
If it breaks every one of them, then perhaps people
in the future won’t try the same tricks.
This started back under Clinton. You know, big government
can do no wrong incorporated.
Our guys didn’t stand in front of it though. They may have
passed it during their majority days, but we could have
addressed it during ours.
We get no respect.
Didn’t Clinton say that “the era of Big Government is over”?
