Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) encouraged Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) to sit out the 2024 presidential battle and continue serving as governor.
Palin further voiced confidence in former President Donald Trump's odds of clinching the party nod and suggested that competitive primaries could be a net positive for the GOP.
"DeSantis doesn’t need to [run]. I envision him as our president someday, but not right now. Everybody I speak with in Florida love[s] him. And he does set the tone for, I'd say, every other governor in the nation," Palin told Newsmax. "I think he's our best governor. And he should stay governor for a bit longer."

The only reason Trump and some of his supporters like Palin want DeSantis to sit this one out is that they fear he could win the nomination. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t pay any attention to him.
Running for the nomination didn’t hurt Reagan in 1976. It gave him national exposure and set the stage for his victory 4 years later
Sarah isn’t
It wasn’t her fault McCain lost.
I’m not against Sarah Palin. I was hoping to support her for President in 2012, and hoping she would become another Maggie Thatcher. But I don’t admire the mess she has made of her once very promising political career.
Very true, UT I do think even that won’t be enough to combat the lefts theft of elections via cheating (shutting down counting, sending republican observers home, then continuing the counting with no accountibility etc.)
Agree not sure if DeSantis can pull in enough people for the senate it’s a must.
Republican congress and senate plus Trump best way to erase Biden’s chaos mistakes and make good things happen fast and get many good laws passed to block any future socialist Marxist democrat laws.
The only hope the nation has is for control of the states. We saw how evil the DC feds are. Every single agency is poisonous evil controlled by demons who want we peasants destroyed. A president can’t change DC, as we saw with Trump. But a coalition of conservative states can. DC only goes one way.
It’s going to take at least three terms to undo much of the damage the Biden policies have done in two years; one of Trump and two of DeSantis.
Too much of the "younger blood" is infected with radical liberalism, and smart enough to hide it until in office.
Jim, I wouldn’t doubt it.
Florida has a Resign-to-Run Law.
Which the FL legislature can easily change
No doubt. But should it.
