Former President Donald Trump, who ripped through the 2016 presidential field with attacks on his rivals, reposted images of a young Ron DeSantis allegedly partying with high school teens and adding his own mocking commentary.
'That's not Ron, is it? He would never do such a thing!' Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
The post linked to a Truth Social Account that grabbed a digital image of a young man with a bowl haircut who appears to be DeSantis surrounded by three young women.
One of them, who has her arm around the now-Florida governor, is smiling and appears to be holding a brown glass bottle. The hit comes as DeSantis has been rising in the polls and lining up influential supporters.

How is Trump, after building a planet wide empire, going to handle DeSantis and all his life and work experience? Ron worked one year at a boarding school for children. How’s Trump going to compete?

Sure he can. As President, Trump’s record on conservative issues was quite good. I’m not talking about his lifestyle or his personal opinion on LGBT gay marriage. As President he never attempted to impose his personal opinion on gay marriage, whatever that may be. He left it to states to decide. He also banned trans in the military, signed an EO to weaken the Johnson amendment, argued against men in women’s sports, and of course was invaluable in having Roe v Wade overturned.
Trump’s record speaks for itself, not his personal opinions on the matter. In contrast, DeSantis has much less to show regarding what he’s done for conservatives. His greatest strength in selling himself to conservatives is that “he’s one of them”, where Trump has actual accomplishments to show. If “I’m one of you” is DeSantis’s strongest selling point to conservatives, then Trump has every reason to expose hypocrisy on the matter.

What you just listed represents Trump’s typical modus operandi. He used the same tactics in 2016. Were they acts of desperation back then? They seemed to be pretty effective back then, so I’d have to say no.

I’ll hand it to ya TexasTrumpHater, you guys got some interesting allies. But they all seem to be insiders. That seems odd. I happen to notice, most of those folks are the same who back stabbed Trump and or worked to derail/impeach/overthrow Trump, 24/7 for 7 years. That wasn’t very nice.

That was extremely immature of him.
He is passing off a subset of the people that put both him and DeSantis in office. That group is growing every day. It will cost 30 electoral votes if it continues. It affects Florida mostly, not the other states.

Trump did a great job for three years. The 4th year was a disaster, and the warp speed vaccines he is somehow still proud of are still killing people.
The only chance I see left for Republicans to capture the Presidency in 2024 is for Trump to be indicted and forced out of the race. But the Democrats are evil, not stupid, so I don’t at all expect it to happen.

If/when DeSantis deserves some criticism, I will be ready. There's just little there that I have seen yet. This thread is a great example of how some in glass houses are desperate to find ANYTHING.
