There is a new gospel that says… Jesus loves you so much that your continued sin is acceptable. This is a terrible pervasive false gospel that does not save. For the woman at the well.. he insisted she stop sinning… the sick man at the Bethesda pool... stop sinning before something worse happens to you.
The man was so sick he was unable to get in the pool quick enough to be healed for many years.
So, if he were to keep sinning something worse would happen than being reduced to a lame, unemployed man without even family to help him in need.
I recently had a pastor say Jesus loves me so much that he will wrap his arms around me even in my sin. He read hat in a book… not The Book which says sin separates us from Our loving and merciful Savior Jesus.
I am calling this the millennials gospel. Joe Dallas would call it they Gay Gospel. Loving people to literal hell.

“Homosexual BEHAVIOR is a sin.”

Indeed, yet so is adultery. And Jesus said if you look and lust you have already committed adultery in your heart.

So, we all sin, daily. But since Jesus Christ has freed believers from the curse of the law, by becoming sin in our place on the Cross, all we need do is answer His knock on our door, invite Him in to our hearts and follow Him. In this, the age of Grace, the only sin that will seal ones fate is that of choosing to ignore or reject God’s free gift of Grace, Jesus Christ.

Believers who follow Christ can and will still sin, but as their lives progress their sin will ever decrease. Not because THEY try real hard not to, but because of the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Jesus Christ does for us that which we cannot do ourselves.

Why don’t you Catholics elect a real Pope like John Paul? Great Schism part II coming up.

Who needs a church that defers to civil authorities on matters of faith and morals?

With so much discussion of the matter from him you have to wonder in your head “Is he?”

Th3 pope sure is obsessed with presenting homosexuality in a positive light, even in direct conflict with what the Bible has to say about it.

“Being homosexual isn’t a crime,” - It may not be a crime against the law of the land, but is it a crime against God????

Certainly God loves all people, that is a given. But God does not love all that people do, that, too, is a given.

Yup, you nailed it! Folks like the current pope have created a God in their own image, and have rewritten his word to suit their demon driven agenda..

The d8fferenced8fthat the saved person “falls into sin” from time to time, while the unsaved person living in sin makes sin their whole way of life regardless of what God says about it. That person makes excuses in order to “justify” their sin so,that they can continue right along in it, thinkingmthat they have the blessings of the church, or a pope behind them. They have no desire to change their deviant way of life, whereas the Saint feels sorry for co tinued falling into sin, and asks forgiveness and wishes they didn’t have to struggle with a particular sin, but the fact is that they have let th3mselves fall into a larticu,AR sin so often that they likely will struggle with it all their life, and feel down about it all their life. The unsaved person lives a life of sin however doesn’t even recognize their sin as sin, and refuses to even acknowledge it as sin.

Yes, everyone sins- the Saint however does not make it their whole way of life, while the unsaved, live eat and breathe their particular sin 24/7 with no remorse. Some even do so claimingmthat it’s OK with God now... it is not and never will be.

It was only a matter of time.

BTW, I notice that (according to these people) G-d doesn't love rednecks or young earth creationists "just as they are." Even if they're "born that way."

This is what the commentator Gill has to,say on the subject

Isaiah 55:7
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Let the wicked forsake his way,.... His evil way, as the Targum paraphrases it, his wicked course of life; and which is his own way, of his own choosing, and in which he delights, and a very dangerous one it is; and yet he is bent upon it, and nothing can turn him from it but efficacious grace; nor will he ever forsake it till he sees the evil, danger, and loathsomeness of it; and when he does forsake it, it is so as not to make sin the course of his life, though he does not and cannot live without sin. The word for “wicked” signifies restless, troublesome, and ungodly, and is expressive of the pollution and guilt of sin all are under. Some are notoriously wicked, and all men are wicked in the account of God, though they may think otherwise themselves; and they become so their own apprehensions, when they are thoroughly awakened and convinced of sin, and of the evil of their ways, and are enabled to forsake them: though this may also be understood of “his own way” of saving himself, which is by works of righteousness he has done, in opposition to God’s way of saving men by Jesus Christ; which way of his own must be relinquished, and Christ alone must be applied unto, and laid hold on, for salvation:

and the unrighteous man his thoughts: not his natural thoughts, but his sinful ones, his wrong thoughts of religion, righteousness, and salvation; particularly his thoughts of being justified by his own righteousness; which thoughts are to be forsaken, as being contrary to God’s way of justifying sinners; and as all men are unrighteous, are destitute of righteousness, and full of unrighteousness, so is the self-righteous person; and he must be divested of all thoughts of his own righteousness, and acknowledge himself an unrighteous man, ere he receives mercy, forgiveness, righteousness and salvation, at the hands of the Lord

LOL. This Pope is so screwed up. Its not up to him to say what a crime is. In some countries, it is a crime. Including some heavily Catholic countries. Stay in your lane, Francis.

Depends on the locale, but it’s always a sin and the POPE should always speak out against it.

“The d8fferenced8fthat the saved person “falls into sin” from time to time...”

It might be that you underestimate the amount of sin stain on each of us in the flesh.

“while the unsaved person living in sin makes sin their whole way of life regardless of what God says about it.”

The unredeemed person more than likely doesn’t care about God nor the things of God anyway. Perhaps you are indicating that you believe that there are only two possible states, a saved person that tries not to sin and an unsaved person who does not try not to?

“That person makes excuses in order to “justify” their sin so,that they can continue right along in it, thinkingmthat they have the blessings of the church, or a pope behind them.”

Yea, we are getting into ugly waters here. We can only guess the state of ones redemption based on what we see or hear, but only God really knows for sure. I see two possibilities in your statement above...either a person who is not saved but believes(”the devil also believes, and trembles”) and perhaps mistakenly counts that belief as salvation...or, a person that is saved but is looking for an excuse to sin?

“They have no desire to change their deviant way of life...”

Then how could they be redeemed in the first place?

“whereas the Saint feels sorry for continued falling into sin, and asks forgiveness and wishes they didn’t have to struggle with a particular sin”

Sorry, or guilty?

“but the fact is that they have let th3mselves fall into a larticu,AR sin so often that they likely will struggle with it all their life, and feel down about it all their life.”

So like, if you feel sorry about it every time you do it, it is somehow different when you keep doing it as opposed to the person who does not feel sorry about it?

“The unsaved person lives a life of sin however doesn’t even recognize their sin as sin, and refuses to even acknowledge it as sin.”

I think a lot of believers do the same thing!

“Yes, everyone sins- the Saint however does not make it their whole way of life, while the unsaved, live eat and breathe their particular sin 24/7 with no remorse. Some even do so claiming that it’s OK with God now... it is not and never will be.”

Romans Chapter 7 has a lot to say about the state of the redeemed believer’s spirit as opposed to our flesh. I think a lot of redeemed believers have never taken the time to actually study what the Bible says about the believer and his sin. But God says that a redeemed believer no longer lives under the curse of the Law. I don’t think that believers are not supposed to go about their lives keeping track of their sin, they are supposed to be living their lives in Christ. If a person is tracking their sin, in order to confess it or feel sorry for it, then are they not simply still trying to “live” the Law? I think there is a difference between waking up in the morning and thinking “what can I do for Jesus today? Please show me Lord” and waking up and thinking, “God, I hope I do not sin today”.

STOP making sin the focal point of your walk with the Lord, and HE will lead you on the path He wants you to go. A believers victory over any sin can ONLY be accomplished in their life by Jesus and the Holy Spirit. And I also think that believers underestimate what a victory actually is also.

The correct approach for a believer to anyone is “come, let us Worship God, follow Jesus, and struggle against sin together”. That is what will divide those who have a heart that the Holy Spirit has made open to God and the things of God from those who do not.
