Trump says Pence ‘an innocent man’ in response to classified doc revelations

Former President Trump called former Vice President Mike Pence “an innocent man” on Tuesday following revelations that classified documents were found at Pence’s home in Indiana.

“Mike Pence is an innocent man. He never did anything knowingly dishonest in his life. Leave him alone!!!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

Earlier on Tuesday, revelations emerged that classified documents had been found at Pence’s Indiana home. Pence attorney Greg Jacob told the National Archives earlier this month that “a small number of documents that could potentially contain sensitive or classified information interspersed throughout the records” had been found in his home and that those documents were later collected by the FBI after the findings were reported to the National Archives.

Given that they’re trying to railroad Trump for basically the same thing that they all do, all the time, of course he’s going to downplay the issue. Unlike him though (because Trump had the undeniable authority to declassify the stuff), Pence is likely guilty of a crime and so is Biden and so are probably hundreds of high level people in DC who think they law is for little people.

It’s not a matter of doing something knowingly dishonest. There are people sitting in prison for doing the same thing as Pence and it appears they were just innocently working from home. There are so many damn laws that everyone in America could be charged with something if their homes were searched. So what’s to be done? Fix the law and then apply equally.
