The film’s armorer will face the same charge. A cinematographer was killed when a gun Baldwin was rehearsing with went off. There was not supposed to be live ammunition on the set.

Baldwin takes a plea deal and it’s over soon. This won’t change his life at all.
Did I hear that the surviving husband coincidentally landed the job of executive producer for the movie when they restart it?
The irony. The point where make-believe and reality collide.
Nothing in the script about actually firing the gun. Baldwin apparently adlibbed.
Baldwin won't be sued by the family as they reached a settlement agreement last October 2022.
In a statement posted on Twitter, Baldwin said, “We are pleased to announce today the settlement of the civil case filed on behalf of the family of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Throughout this difficult process, everyone has maintained the specific desire to do what is best for Halyna’s son. We are grateful for everyone who contributed to the resolution of this tragic and painful situation.”
Under the settlement, the low-budget Western is slated to resume filming in January, with Hutchins’ widower serving as executive producer.

First, Baldwin released a statement on Instagram.
Later, Hutchins’ widower, Matthew Hutchins, released a statement through his attorney, Brian Panish, confirming the settlement agreement and announcing that the long-paused “Rust” project will resume production with Matthew Hutchins serving an executive producer.
Matthew Hutchins’ executive-producer role was one element of the settlement, but other details were not released.
“The filming of ‘Rust,’ which I will now executive produce, will resume with all the original principal players on board, in January 2023,” Hutchins’ statement said.
“I have no interest in engaging in recriminations or attribution of blame (to the producers or Mr. Baldwin). All of us believe Halyna’s death was a terrible accident. I am grateful that the producers and the entertainment community have come together to pay tribute to Halyna’s final work.”
He by passed a plea deal...and it’s why they charged him. Wonder what the deal was.
This is criminal not civil. But I’m sure his bitchwife will make sure the victim’s family never gets a dime.
Baldwin must have been playing with guns in some way.
The armorer with a 24-year-old girl, who obviously got the job through her father’s connections and ____, and because she would take a much lower salary than a real armorer. It was incredibly sloppy with live ammunition mixed with blanks, etc. However, she was a part-time armorer with other duties, as another cost saving approach. Some of the fault is with the director and real producer, who was not Baldwin.
It’s a Democrat state where the film industry is rather powerful. Don’t expect more than a slap on the wrist.
The first rule of gun safety is always assume a gun is loaded. You always check the gun before you fire it. On sets they also fire into the ground just to make 100% certain. It is my understanding Baldwin did neither. Ergo negligent homicide. Finally, the scene they were rehearsing or setting up for to my knowledge did not require the gun to be fired. He needed to keep his finger off the trigger in a final safety precaution. He failed this as well.
It is funny how people are bending over backwards to try to excuse his actions.
I can not remember a time when I did not know the rules, every gun is loaded, never point the gun at anything you do not intend to shoot.
I know I knew the rules by age six because I was shooting by then so it should have been possible for a grown up male to learn and follow the rules.
Once you pick up the gun, point it at someone and pull the trigger what follows is all on you.
No one else.
“ Will he still play DJT on SNL?”
Maybe they should do a skit about smartAlec shooting employees with a gun and claiming the gun fired itself. Wouldn’t that be funny? Haha
The Armorer has one job. Keep track of the weapons at all times. She was not doing her job.
Yes, she has fault in this incident. She is not the only person at fault.
"Troubles never singly come, but march in three abreast" (Proverbial)
It’s possible Baldwin wasn’t offered any type of plea deal to reduced charges.
The DA may believe they have a strong enough case against him to indict and go to crimminal trial.
The armorer had more than one job. She was also a wardrobe assistant or something. That was part of the problem. They didn’t want to waste money on a full-time or qualified armorer.
I would actually suggest Voluntary Manslaughter as the appropriate charge.
Baldwin F*** Around and Found Out would be the informal description of the incident.
Karma can be such a bitch.
I think his production company him personally can be sued. Insurance company may or may not pay out but Baldwin personally, likely will.
There’s a lot of irrational hate here. Get off my lawn people…
It will be both.
