Findings from the team at the Rocky Mountain Institute in Colorado suggest that the roughly 35 per cent of American homes that use gas stoves should mitigate the spread of toxins like nitrogen dioxide and benzene by switching to an electric induction stove.
Their research is the latest installment in a growing body that shows the danger of having a gas stove in the home, which can emit carcinogenic toxins that put people at risk of severe health effects.

I'm so old I remember wwwaaaaaayyyyy back in the Obama years when the Dims were forcing us to replace coal with "clean burning" natural gas. Now natural gas is the new alleged planet killer.

What a coincidence. Perhaps this latest health fear porn is true. Then again, it’s interesting that it also aligns with climate change fear porn.
Not believing a bit of it unless we see the original data...and allow analysis using accepted statistical methods (e.g., not journalism major or poli sci major first grade math).
As now, I suggest we consider this media-level bullsh**.

The authors relied on 2019 census data to determine what proportion of American children are exposed to asthma-causing toxins produced by gas stoves, borrowing methodology from a 2018 analysis that found 12.3 per cent of pediatric asthma cases in Australia were attributable to cooking on gas ranges. In other words, unscientific B.S.
They do not even show correlation, let alone causation.

The old correlation is not causation thing. Children who don't get outside are the ones most likely to get asthma. The stove has nothing to do with it.
This fact was the reason heaves in horses was correctly diagnosed. Turns out it had become fashionable years ago to have horses in a closed up barn. Those horses were the ones getting heaves. They opened up the windows and the heaves disappeared. Funny there were never gas stoves in any barn at any time.
