A nationwide shoplifting epidemic is crippling the finances of brick-and-mortar retailers, who warn that they may be forced to raise prices or even shutter stores in order to offset tens of billions of dollars in lost inventory.
The National Retail Foundation is estimating that it lost $94.5 billion last year due to “shrink” — an industry term that means lost inventory — which is being blamed primarily on shoplifting, according to The Wall Street Journal.

It doesn’t really matter to me who retails imported, mostly from China, crapola. It is all the same to me.
To enter a store you should have to show a retail shoppers license. To get one you have to have a clean record for 10 years.

due to shoplifting and employee theft.
FR can be shut down by its hosting company for violation of speech codes. It’s getting very scary.
After all the looting America went even more stupid
The reality is that most of these unprofitable stores will close in deep blue cities and communities.
We pay for the lost revenue regardless of where we live or how we vote and to put salt in that wound they will continue to blame us for the results of policies we do not support.

Question is WHY do the police, security officers and employees-—plus the public-—tolerate this?
Local news always shows the viral videos and says a shocking brazen group of shoplifters looted a high end electronics store (or jewelry) and left in SUVs with no police chasing them.
1) Are they being racially sensitive to being labeled racists for arresting and possibly hitting them or shooting them? Could get sued or just banned and boycotted for opposing BLM?
2) If fighting them would innocent bystanders and shoppers plus employees be killed or taken hostage?
I was told once that the reason banks no long have a security guard present is that opposing a bank robber led to shootings of customers. Better to let them leave with the money.
How long will Americans tolerate this? Desperdoes in the Old West eventually were taken down by the hanging judges and gun toting lawmen. After vigilantes led the way.
