Musk resigning as Twitter CEO, another right-wing culture warrior who caved to the Left [Opinion]
Washington Examiner via msn ^ | 22 Dec 2022 | Christopher Tremoglie

You have to hand it to the Left. It is a powerful machine and global network that knows how to get what it wants. It consists of masterful organizers and propaganda artists. It is unparalleled in spreading its (toxic and destructive) political ideologies and brainwashing billions of people to believe in its causes. And, should all of that fail, it is made up of superbly effective bullies....

...Elon Musk appears to be the latest victim of this bullying. The billionaire new owner of the social media platform tweeted he would resign as Twitter CEO. The announcement came after Musk lost a Twitter poll he posted over the weekend...

...Conservatives and Republicans need sustainable courage, not those who can't handle the heat. It was great that Musk did what he did and showed the world the collusion between the Left and Big Tech. He exposed a lot of corruption. And, to a lesser degree, he revealed their thirst to suppress dissent and squash democracy's principles. But giving up this quickly shows that all the Left must do is be persistent with its attacks and the Right will eventually surrender.

The author of this article doesn't know much about Musk if he thinks Musk will cave to anyone.

BTW, I am on Twitter a little bit each day and have noticed a lot of little improvements in layout and data availability.

Too bad FR doesn't improve and adapt. I remember when the "number of views" was indicated on each FR thread. It gave Freepers an idea of what was hot and what wasn't. It helped inform thread posters about the appetite of readers for certain subjects.

Musk is still the owner. He planned to step down anyway. No caving. Just smart optics.

Another birdbrain dumb @ss journalist.

Well, he certainly isn't Left-wing.

Musk is a VERY strong individualist.

Lefties are Marxists/collectivists. They want things run by committees and groups.

“Musk isn’t right wing”

Or a conservative. Just when you think you have a win, it’s taken away.

Well into the buying stage, I think Elon had a plan of carrying the load for 60 to 90 days, and have his pick of a person to run Twitter. It’s a full-time job and he’s got a thousand projects on his mind.

Whoever he picks....it will of the same mindset, and consumed about free speech.

Was it a hairbrained idea for Musk to post a poll? Was he really that unaware that the Left would mobilize every vote to protect their perceived territory?

It is tempting to post something sarcastic in response to that. You don't honestly think Musk is unaware of what the Left will do, do you?

As an old friend of mine used to say, "if you're so smart, why aren't you rich (a billionaire, in this case)?"

Musk has recently done more for freedom of speech (which is a conservative unpinning of our country) than anyone else in America (at this desperate time that we are in).

I’ll bet he caught a multitude of bots with that poll.

I have a friend who works for Tesla. He has an upper management position here at Giga NY and attends weekly meetings with Musk. He says that typically, when Musk poses a question or thought, he has already decided what he’s planning to do long before he even brings it up. He insists that Musk has some ultimate future plan in mind for Twitter which nobody sees or knows of.

He said that as soon as he finds someone silly enough that wants the job, he will step aside. By the time that happens, more ballots might appear, or something else that makes him laugh. He might get his money’s worth after all.

Figure Musk used the poll to determine the political leanings of the users. 57% liberals and 43% conservatives. Recall he said something to the effect be careful what you wish for when he names his replacement.

Musk depends on government contracts for his space business. The USG has some leverage on him. Biden will use it.

He found out how many Dems were actually engaged at Twitter. In other words....it was a trap.

He owns the Company...the CEO will serve his wishes.

He really likes "behind the scenes" better than this more or less "political role".

I’m pretty sure he never intended to run it permanently and the poll was just a stunt

Who the heck do you think Musk is and where would he get such power?

Yo, bull, Musk owns the company, it is his, what other power does he need?

*You don’t honestly think Musk is unaware of what the Left will do, do you?*

I honestly don’t know what to think of a guy who names his two youngest kids X Æ A-XII and Exa Dark Sideræl, setting them up for 18 years of teasing. I do know that successful people don’t have to be overly smart - just smart enough to surround themselves with people smarter than they are. So if Musk’s objective in buying Twitter was to expose the CIA/NSA/FBI DC to Silicon Valley career paths, why not just declare, mission accomplished, I’ll be hiring an outside CEO going forward so I can refocus on SpaceX. Why run a poll as an exit excuse? The poll and his follow-on comments seemed a huge waste of effort that distracted from the expose’ of the Twitter Files - not so smart to shoot himself in the foot.

When Squealin’ Elon makes a post like this one, be sure it’s intended to act as a troll/bot trap.

Consider the source: It’s on MSN. They’re just trying to stir up antagonism, get the right to start dumping on him.

He’s still going to work at twatter, just not be the boss anymore.

Twatter is a lot more fun since he took over.
