Masks are back, and, this time, they’re not just for Covid-19. A “tripledemic” of the coronavirus, influenza and respiratory syncytial virus, known as R.S.V., sweeping through the United States has prompted several cities and counties, including New York City and Los Angeles County, to encourage people to wear a mask in indoor public spaces once again......
There is strong evidence that masks help to reduce the transmission of several respiratory viruses. One paper published in 2020 by researchers in Hong Kong showed that people sick with either Covid-19 or the flu breathed out fewer viral particles when they were wearing a surgical mask. (Masks were found not to be as effective for the rhinovirus, though, which causes the common cold.) A study of Covid-19 policies in Boston-area schools found that removing a mask mandate in 2022 was tied to nearly 12,000 additional cases among students and staff....
Masks work by filtering out both the tiny aerosol particles through which the coronavirus is primarily spread and the larger droplets that are thought to be responsible for most influenza and R.S.V. transmission. They also stop you from touching your face in case you picked up virus particles on your hands from a doorknob or subway pole. And while masks are most effective at stopping the spread of these viruses when the infected person is wearing one, masking to protect yourself from disease is still beneficial, particularly if you’re using a high-quality version like N95, KN95 or KF94.
“The basic truth is that masks work,” said Syra Madad, senior director of the systemwide special pathogens program at New York City Health + Hospitals. “Whether you’re talking about Covid-19 or other respiratory viruses like R.S.V. and flu, wearing a mask will help protect you against all these respiratory viral illnesses.”

After three years, there is no reason for Covid to still be an issue other than people in power want it to still be an issue. They are making too much money from the deadly “vaccines”, and Covid mania allows them to manipulate the masses through fear. It’s all about money, power and control, not public health.
I recommend to folks who wear the mask switch to plastic bags. Unlike mask, nothing gets out of in and meets the end game of those that want you to wear mask.
You have to be the dumbest person on earth to don a mask. They are in place to instill FEAR and control. BE AFRAID! Produce the factual research or just shut up! You can blow a stinking candle out with a mask on. The vapors from your breath go right through the mask. Quit kidding yourself in thinking that these masks do anything. THEN think about how many times a day the person TOUCHES THE MASK to move it on their face. It is laughable to state that a person with a mask is going to keep their hands away from their face.

Unfortunately the medical community is all in on masks. I have to go to a health center today and masks are required. At my regular doc they’re optional.

Indeed, just like global warming. Been more than a generation and is picking pace and expense as it will never end until it’s outlawed.

And don’t forget the guys that want two or three masks on at a time. Notice there’s never a cut off? There’s never a specifically defined boundary? So is 12 masks better than 11? They won’t say. Is there a statistical marker that indicates the time for masks is over? They won’t say. Just continuous, ambiguous restrictions and rules.
They’re all just giving us a gullibility test
Post the peer reviewed conclusive medical science, that was established years before any COVID, that has determined that even a medical N95 mask can stop any virus.
Masks are designed for much, much larger bacteria. Often 100’s of times larger and CAN get inhibited by the mask fiber mesh geometry.
Peculiar how they use a generic term “mask.”
Peculiar how they do not cite any of the specifics/details/titles/peer review status/authors of the studies. Just take their word for it, they wouldn’t lie to us, eh.
The truth is, the type of masks people are wearing do not work.

it's all about power & control over others lives, and seeing how far they can push us.
not me. not playing. they can shove that mask straight up their candy ass.
You have to step back and wonder how many of these steps taken by companies are not because they believe them but because they want to be prepared in the event of lawsuits. If they take all of the “proper steps” (even if they are pure theater), then they’ll be better positioned to defend themselves in court if employees or clients get COVID there. They can proclaim they’ve done their part to protect employees/clients, and the gubmint pushing that BS can’t disagree.
The prevention is worse than the disease.People and animals have open breathing holes for a reason.
