Is there a summary explanation?
Summary please?

If the Federal Government can impose a contract they could have imposed one that forced the railroads to give the unions the sick time they wanted. Biden and his handlers chose not to do that.
Presidential Emergency Board?? What on earth? Sounds like a workaround for constitutional limitations established for each branch.
Heading to work… I have 3 twelve hour shifts coming up, but this thread is important to discussed.
A lot of rationalizing. Bottom line, the Republican party finds a way in a contract that they cannot get 7 days of sick leave. A meaningless unnoticeable part of a contract for almost all Americans. But Republicans to the rescue!
Now they can move on to giving Biden and Ukraine everything they ask for and finding a way to cut Social Security. Oh, and standing up for stolen elections, ballot harvesting, ballot “curing” etc.
There is no way to spin this into a Republican win. The GOP stands against every blue collar middle class interest they can find. The Democrats already hate us, so where are we supposed to go? To the party that hates us -slightly- less?
And as usual find a boogeyman that doesn’t have a chance.
Don’t point at the people responsible for this mess, starting in 2017, when a certain person, his hedge fund and Hunter Harrison brought their cutthroat management style, I’m sorry, their “efficiency model” to one off the big 4 railroads.
Cutting everything to the bone. Longer heavier trains. Not enough crews to run them. Overworked employees told that if they don’t like it, they can quit and be replaced. Only thing is, few of these employees are being replaced. It seems that the younger generation doesn’t want a job in the elements, working all
Hours of the day/nights/weekends/holidays. Living out of a bag and not seeing their families.
So yeah, blame it all on congress or whoever you want.
Instead the demoncraps are made to look like heroes, except for the one bad part and that's all on the GOP.
Who's is the minority leader? He should be fired. Definitely not considered for majority in January at all.
It didn’t fix the sick leave situation.
This is enlightening as to the current issue...but not at all surprising.
Are Democrats working in cahoots with rail union bosses to win votes by rescuing unions from possible government-manufactured rail crisis?
All that it takes for one Republican lawmaker to effectively exercise majority power to stop Democratic involvement in rail labor issues is to publicly point out that feds have no express constitutional authority to deal with labor imo.
There is nothing to prevent the rail workers from walking regardless what Congress does.
bkmk
