Conservative radio host Mark Levin went off on the “bonehead” Congressional Republicans threatening to derail Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) bid to be the next speaker of the House.
Levin used his show on Tuesday to talk about how the Republican Party’s slim majority in the House of Representatives may cause a struggle for McCarthy to get the votes he needs to succeed Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Hard-right members of the Congressional GOP have publicly opposed McCarthy’s bid for the speakership, so the House minority leader is currently trying to bring these factions in line and secure the 218 votes he needs.
Levin had no patience for this drama, lashing out at these “five boneheads in the House of Representatives.” He argued that these GOP rebels have no alternative nearly as electable as McCarthy, so they’re “playing right into the hands” of their political foes with this internal squabbling.
“How can they be so stupid?” Levin railed as he blasted these lawmakers for standing in the way of Republican efforts to smoothly implement their agenda. He then proceeded to name and shame these “five saboteurs,” starting with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).

I’m not a fan of former never trumper Levin. He is a grifter for sure. I just find it weird that there’s so little discussion about the speaker election in conservative media. It’s either that the fix is in or people really think there is no alternative.
It is true he didn’t get a chance to be speaker, so we really don’t know how he’s going to be.

I think we do know. McCarthy is one of Paul Ryan’s pals.

They can negotiate whatever they want but once McCarthy is elected he will fire up the excuse and delay machine. Just watch.
It’s either McCarthy or a Democrat. The election results were disappointing, so Republicans in Congress feel like they have to dial things back a little. They think all the drama hurt them. Whether it did or not, it would hurt them now.
Who listens or watches Mark Levin anymore? He’s a non entity. With McCarthy in charge it will be Paul Ryan all over again.
I'd guess he's after Gaetz and "the boneheads" are threatening more funding for the war by working to elect someone other McCarthy as speaker.
I believe McCarthy would rather manage a small majority or lead a minority as long as he is leader. A large majority would have been more MAGA, which he doesn’t want. McCarthy is another California weasel.
Mark lost me in the 2015/2016 time frame. His blistering

We’ve whined for years about this very thing. Now that there is a faction that is saying enough is enough, we’re whining about that, too. Screw the GOP. Mostly a group of spineless wimps who care more about $$$ and power. And now everyone is clamoring to elect one of the most spineless wimps. Go us!
If those members of Congress truly buy into the idea that it is a “Uniparty”, they shouldn’t have run as Republicans in first place. They should have run as third party or whatever rather than claiming the party that they joined voluntarily is actually a “Uniparty.”
I remember when Mark was railing at him about 10 years ago for calling around California talk radio stations trying to bully them into pulling Mark's show off the air because Mark was saying mean things about him and Boehner. Seriously, talk about strange bedfellows!!!
Mark was all TEA Party back then but McCarthy was trying to crush it.
No doubt. But the terms will be made known to every House member... and it is the only leverage the Freedo Caucus has - other than directly with voters. But only some voters.
Was Levin also supportive of Mcconnell’s re SELECTION of leadership? And as long as the unitary party is in charge of the sELECTION procedure, all else is moot.
Levin continues to rail against political leaders ignoring the Constitution, but then gives his unwavering support to the same.
I’m thankful for opposition to the establishment at all costs. Because the goal of the unitary party is to eventually bring everyone into compliance to the far left.
Agenda priorities ought to be to investigate corruption of both parties.
Election security.
Spending cuts.
Energy independence.
School reform and curriculum returned to the local parents.
Ending woke destruction.
Auditing the fed.
Securing the border.
Investigating Ukraine corruption and the Biden crime syndicate.
Reveal through investigation the weaponising of federal agencies to attack political opponents.
End the communist governments assaults on free speech, free enterprise, protect the second amendment and property rights.
And to break free from the web’s agenda of a one world government, one world religion, and a one world currency.
And that should be the direction for day one. If Mccarthy objects to any of these, he needs to be exposed and. Deposed.
But I digress, because come the day after the 2024 election we will have even less power. IF America even lasts that long..
That comment is outrageous. No one works harder for the preservation of freedom than Mark.
I do not agree with him on Ukraine, but friends can have disagreements.
