Conservative radio host Mark Levin went off on the “bonehead” Congressional Republicans threatening to derail Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) bid to be the next speaker of the House.
Levin used his show on Tuesday to talk about how the Republican Party’s slim majority in the House of Representatives may cause a struggle for McCarthy to get the votes he needs to succeed Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Hard-right members of the Congressional GOP have publicly opposed McCarthy’s bid for the speakership, so the House minority leader is currently trying to bring these factions in line and secure the 218 votes he needs.
Levin had no patience for this drama, lashing out at these “five boneheads in the House of Representatives.” He argued that these GOP rebels have no alternative nearly as electable as McCarthy, so they’re “playing right into the hands” of their political foes with this internal squabbling.
“How can they be so stupid?” Levin railed as he blasted these lawmakers for standing in the way of Republican efforts to smoothly implement their agenda. He then proceeded to name and shame these “five saboteurs,” starting with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).

Let McCarthy get back in and let’s see how fast she’s allowed back on some committees. That will be your sign that she sold out to them, regardless of what her Twitter says.
I’m not sure what happens if a House speaker can’t be appointed - do Democrats like Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell and Ilhan Omar get to keep their committee assignments? If so, Goetz and the others need to get behind McCarthy - the lesser of two evils and all that.
How about this, McCarthy comprises some with the freedom caucus and pledges a few things for them. He commits to accomplish those things and if he doesn’t then he doesn’t run again for leader in two years.
Thus, everyone gets a little and more importantly McCarthy is held accountable.
“Far right” = likes 1.5% inflation...likes $1.89 a gallon gas...likes a southern border sealed tight...likes to see the “Paris Accords” dumped in the trash can...believes there are only two genders...
With a slim majority the last thing the caucus needs is a divisive intraparty squabble. Leave it to the Stupid Party to f* things up.

What agenda would that be exactly? Certainly not a conservative one.
At this point it’s either McCarthy or God forbid a Democrat could become speaker.
Ultimately, it would be nice to have a far bigger Republican majority in the House ,,so that it wouldn’t come down to a handful of guys whose votes are needed to elect the speaker.
But as of today this is the hand we are dealt.
The good thing is that they could always horse trade, extracting conservative concessions from the Wonder Weenie to get their support.
Yikes, Levin is wrong.
Recognize there is a Uniparty versus Patriots. A Patriot (eg, MTG) is the only proper choice... even if we fail with a MTG, there is no longer ANY POINT to giving anything to the Uniparty.
Was Levin also thrilled to support mcconnell?
Typical Levin - rails and foams about Republicans, until the fight gets real, and then it’s “back the Unipublicans”, no matter what.

It is true he didn’t get a chance to be speaker, so we really don’t know how he’s going to be. Being a minority is very much of a different story.

It really doesn’t matter what kind of majority they have IMO. Big or small, if you have no principles or convictions what difference does it make?
The GOP really doesn’t stand for anything so in effect McCarthy is their perfect “leader”.
McCarthy is an effeminate do nutun’. Perfect fit.
