Pence: Trump Asked Me Violate My Oath to the Constitution on January 6
Breitbart ^ | 11/20/2022 | Pam Key

Posted on 11/20/2022 9:52:43 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

Former Vice President Mike Pence said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that former President Donald Trump asked him to violate his oath to the Constitution on January 6, 2021.

Pence said, “I write did it in the book, I will never forget, it was the night before January 6, the president and I were alone in the office in what was ultimately a tense conversation. I had made my position clear, as vice president, I did not believe I had the authority to return or reject electoral votes when the House convened to count the electoral votes, but there was great tension in the room. At the outset, I remember the president looking at me and he pointed at the window of the crowd that was gathering just off the South Lawn and in the Ellipse and he said, did you see that crowd out there? I said, I did, Mr. President. He said those people love us. I said those people love you. He said that is probably true. I looked at him very seriously and I said do those people love the Constitution? Because I believe Republican voters and the Republican Party’s future is ultimately grounded in us producing men and women who will stand up for ideal enshrined in the Constitution and the Declaration, ideals Ronald Reagan stood for without apology and our that the carried or movement forward for generations.”

Trump asked me to supply David DePape a hammer, a map, and the code to disarm Pelosi’s security system at her San Francisco mansion.

"As a freeper pointed out not long ago, if you can’t refuse to certify, then it’s not much of a certification process, is it."

Excellent point. If you're not allowed to question the validity of an election during the process of certifying that election, it isn't really a certification process, it's just a "don't make any waves" process.

"Notice how with each re-telling he become a bigger and bigger hero? Pence single-handily saved the country!"

And Trump put him and AOC's lives in danger.

I do not believe you, Mr. Pence and assert that you are a liar and a uni party coward. For a man or woman to constantly feel the need to remind people that they are Christian or that their duty was somehow done by the book while casting blame on one other individual for let downs speaks volumns.

No one dare speak ill of the prophet, Trump (PBUH)

So, in essence, Trump said…”nice crowd we got there. Be a shame if something happened to have them turn on you.”

Trump is so old….

"Pence had been an ambidextrous paycheck grabber all his life until Trump picked him. There is zero discernible history of Pence being a RISK TAKER. Arguably, he never did."

I just checked, and Pence was Governor of Indiana for only 4 years, and during those years, it looked like he had a large Republican majority in the State Legislature. That means he had it fairly easy getting through whatever legislation he wanted. Makes you wonder if hadn't been Governor, or Trump's V.P., and was still sitting in the House of Representatives, would he have voted to impeach Trump? I'd say he probably would have. I have a problem with the people who are tossing Trump aside for 2024, and are throwing all their support to DeSantis. DeSantis is in the same position that Pence was during his time as Governor. DeSantis has had a Republican majority in Florida's State Legislature, and he has not been tested yet against a Democrat-run Congress, or even against a split majority. Nobody knows if he'd be willing to cut deals with Congressional Democrats.

I dont fault Pence for his actions on Jan 6th. If the state legislatures did not have enough backbone to challenge their state’s results, then why would anyone else put their necks out there?

I lay the blame for the stolen election at the feet of the state legislatures.

Pence's picture should be in the dictionary, next to the words "brown noser".

Believe that. It’s the only way to justify the sh!tstorm that has followed. Oooo! I’m a good little boy. I can’t violate the Constitoooshin. So it’s ok to sell the country out to drug cartels, the CCP and the Biden crime family.

I have said this before when Pence was VP - Pence is just a manager, a weak one. He is NOT a leader.

Now he is a retired manager, and a shill for the deep state and entrenched RINOs.

Pence has lost all credibility with me.

I like De Santis and might someday vote for him. But, DeSantis ain’t no Donald Trump! There is only ONE Donald Trump and no politician in history has EVER withstood the relentless media onslaught, lies and persecution to say nothing of official investigations, impeachment efforts and soon to be indictments that Trump has.

Many confuse all this with having something to do with Trump. That’s laughable. We are seeing the NEW and PERMANENT strategy of the Democratic Party to go ALL OUT against ANY Repubican President or nominee and the main strategy is to keep any Republican thinking about running for president to give it up based on what they did to Trump.

DeSantis has a way to go to get me interested. As long as there is a Donald Trump in the picture, that is who I am focused on. As I said on another thread last night: "Trump is unique, and there will be no Republican candidate like him ever again in my lifetime." I'm 75, and there are no guarantees that I'll be alive in 2024 to vote for him. I'm extremely pissed to think that the vote I cast in 2020 may have been my last opportunity to vote for Trump, and that my vote was probably disenfranchised because of all the fraud that occurred around the country.

Pence had no historical standing for his positions against Trump. Now Pence rolls out the No Witnesses Lies.

I was told Pence was a good Christian... then he got into politics and he is now a lying snake in the desert.

Well, it DOES have something to do with Trump.

Namely, if he were not such a great leader, they wouldn’t bother to object to even a comma or apostrophe of his.

The contention was that several states had submitted alternate elector counts…

Which states had done that?
