Yes Pence does have the Constitutional authority in the process to examine the alternate slates of electors given the irregularities of the election. He had that duty doubled because the courts refused to hear any of the election cases based on standing, and the civil cases would not even go to discovery to see the facts of the stolen election. Therefore the Judicial branckh refused to examine the problem, making Pence’s duty even more important.
Pence has no fire in his belly. He is essentially a coward.
For this reason he will never be President.

I read awhile back that he and his best bud, Ryan, were going to run together in Oct. 2016 to take Trump out then. I don’t know if it is true but they seem very aligned and very determined to take over. I would never vote for any of these people. I would stay home.

Mike, if you believe that you violated your Constitutional Oath by voting to accept electors you knew were fraudulent, then you’re a bigger fraud than I thought. You actually compromised the national security of this country, the security of its election process, and you disenfranchised millions of legal voters when you decided to go along to get along on January 6th. You could have temporarily rejected those electors, sent them back to the States with the questionable electors, and let the State Legislatures sort it out, but you didn’t do that. Even if it turned out that no fraud had occurred, wouldn’t it have been better to be safe rather than sorry, and at least try to prevent fraud from taking over? But you didn’t even have the guts to try. And you want to be President? What a joke. Everyone knows, even you Mike, that if it was the Democrats claiming election fraud, and the Vice President was a Democrat, that he would have done exactly what you should have done.
If the Deep State sinks Trump they are going to learn what losing big really means. They need to let the people decide on Trump by the recognized method, the nomination process.
PRESIDENT TRUMP commissioned a board to do this, but few states or legislators wanted change. "Can't clean up the dirty dishes with dirty water."

Because of Pence, and the rest of the go along to get along Republicans who voted to validate those fraudulent electors. Every single Republican Congressional member who voted to validate what they knew were illegal electors, disenfranchised hundreds of thousands, and possibly millions of legal Republican voters. Once elections reach the point where your party refuses to question the legality of an election, and will accept fraudulent electors, makes them complicit in the illegal activity that occurred. So why continue to support that party if they will throw you and your vote aside as if you don't matter?

He failed to do his constitutional duty. He was well within his right to kick everything back to the states. He should have. Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Arizona, and nevada, amd Michigan were all violating state laws.
