In what is turning out to be a major national embarrassment, Arizona still has over 600,000 ballots left to count which is over a quarter of the total number of votes. The vote count has been stalled at about 70% counted for the past two days and Republicans are rightly outraged. Voters also faced problems with ballot scanners when they voted in person on Tuesday in Maricopa County. Both Kari Lake and Blake Masters trail slightly to Democrats in their races and many are questioning why the votes are not being counted. Maricopa County tweeted an apology for the scanner issue which they say affected 7% of voters on election day.

Stalin was kinda right though - voter ID and verification is irrelevant unless you have an advance list of elegible participants and want to exclude other persons, but the who, when, for how long, and how the cast ballots get counted counting is more important.
Over here in the UK the most I’ve ever had to do is show my reminder card (everyone entitled to vote gets one in the post) or my driving license. When I vote my name and address gets ticked off a printed list. No correlation, no vote. My wife’s name and address isn’t ticked off until she shows up to vote.
If a second person shows up to vote using the credence of someone who’s already voted, then they’ll have to prove they’re me. If they can’t, they don’t get to vote. If they can, then 2 people passed the check and both votes count but there’s a note against that voter record and if a statistically significant number of double votes are cast then that’s a flag for investigating.
If the number of votes cast exceeds the count in the electoral roll then that’s very serious - turnout is rarely above 80% so 100+% is highly suspicious. Maybe people without a right to vote have voted, or people voted multiple times, or there’s been some ballot stuffing “man in the middle” revealed at the count.
The ballot count sheets with names crossed off or marked as double voted are then compared to a similar count of names sending in postal votes.
Our election results tend to be called within 16 hours of the polling stations locking the doors at 10pm. And aside from one constituency out of 650 appearing to be involved in shenanigans several elections ago, we don’t have recurring problems with the set-up.

88% in and Lake continues to be stuck 1.4% behind. Just don’t see her winning. Projections are now down to the Repubs only having a 219-216 House majority as the vote counting in California goes on … and on … and on … If the Dems get to 218 in the House, then it will suddenly be, “All the votes are in!”
There can only be one conclusion at this point, Democrat operatives know they are losing and they are stealing the election. Probably just like in 2020. If the DOJ was for the people and not the Democrats they would seize the process.

Looking at the current vote count on a couple of different sites, I am struck by one thing. It seems that all the polls were right.......except for the governors race. Masters trailed Kelly by about five points in EVERY poll and lost by five points. Pretty much the same for the other three MAGA-American candidates.
However in the governor’s race. Lake led by five plus points and will probably lose by a point or less.

These ‘left to count’ numbers are all over the map. Suddenly the number is 600,000. Yesterday that number was in the 400,000 range. I saw a blurb early this morning that suggested the number was in the 300,000 range. WTAF is going on here?

There is no mystery here, Mal. Our voting used to be straight forward as what you have in the UK. What ruined this was white Democrat hacks cultivating blacks lies about how they were denied voting.
This black exclusion from voting, went on 50-70 years ago in the deep South.
