Joe Biden on Wednesday put in his cross-hairs a wide range of ordinary firearms owned by millions of Americans, insisting that "assault weapons" be banned all across the country.
Technically, any weapon can be used in an "assault" but leftists often use the term to describe weapons that have certain looks – such as an attached cartridge, a pistol grip, even camouflage markings.
A report at Just the News explained Biden was responding to questions about what he'll do differently during the second half of his term.
During the first half, he's allowed inflation of up to 9.1% to assault Americans, prices of gasoline to rise as high as $7 a gallon in some cities, crime to surge, millions and millions of illegal aliens to cross the nation's southern border, with many of them now claiming public benefits, and more.
Biden, noting gun control legislation passed by Congress a few months ago, which expanded background checks and such, said he'll double down.
"There's some things I want to change and add to," he said. "We didn't ban assault weapons. I'm going to ban assault weapons. We're going to try like the devil."

An attached cartridge? What, a cartridge is welded on to the frame of the gun? Wow, these people haven’t got a clue.
Oh, and here’s news for the hair-sniffer: the Supreme Court has already ruled that you can’t outlaw an entire class of firearms. Let’s go Brandon!
I’m guessing that they omitted the words “feeding device” or “magazine.”
Guns and bullets are not the problem. Evil intent is the problem.
Evil intent cannot be legislated away, it may only be punished if acted upon.
Detecting the evil intent is a tricky proposition at best, and may be measured only indirectly before the fact.
But as to the gun “problem”, guns and ammunition will not disappear even with the most draconian legislation and most aggressive enforcement. And certainly murder and mayhem shall in no way be contained. Evil intent is expressed by many other means, as people were cheerfully being killed and maimed long before projectile weapons were widely used for that purpose. A rock or even human hands and feet can be and have been used to great effect.
But I preach to the choir. The people who should be listening, won’t and probably never will acknowledge that the solution is not at all simple, and continue to mouth facile and unworkable “solutions” that fit their narrative.
You cannot fix stupid. But you do not have to join in with it, either.
Should be for the devil.
