Paul Ryan wants to make one thing crystal clear: He is for any Republican not named Donald Trump in 2024.
“That new swing voter in American politics is the suburban voter, and it’s really clear the suburban voter doesn’t like Trump, but they like Republicans,” the former House speaker said during a recent appearance on Fox Business. “So I think anybody not named Trump, I think is so much more likely to win the White House for us.”
Which is blunt!
Ryan’s assessment comes even as Trump appears not only likely to run again, but is making preparations for what a third bid for president would look like.
As CNN’s Gabby Orr reported on Tuesday, Trump appears to be “accelerating his plans for another presidential campaign,” going as far as to weigh where the campaign would be based (Florida and the Washington, DC, area are the two leading options) and who might help lead the effort (longtime GOP operative Chris LaCivita is seen as one possibility).
Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican who left office in 2019 amid the hostile takeover of the Republican Party by Trump, has not been shy about offering his skepticism about the former President running again for the White House.
“Whether he runs or not, I don’t really know if it matters,” Ryan said earlier this month. “He’s not going to be the nominee, I don’t think.”

The current thought process of the batch of GOP is so corrupt, and/or stupid, they just can’t seem to get the hint.
In 2020 they get hammered in an election that they let get away without even a question of the validity of it. They have been contributory to the highest inflation, the increase in crime, the changing of the dynamics of our election process, the over running of our borders, being contributory to the destruction of our shipping industries while creating more of it in the future, the destruction of our power industries while allowing the lie about wind and solar that didn’t work 15 years ago and can’t work now with the required volume, trying to totally wipe out the oil and coal industries forcing us to dependency when just a few years ago we led the world in exports of both, and have handed billions of dollars of arms to countries that intend to kill us any way they can to include losing their lives...
And they allow the media to make them look the fools they are. Having the president republican is worthless if they can’t control congress, also. Makes you wonder how much more Trump could have accomplished if they had both houses during his term. Oh, yeah, he did all his improvements in one term with no help.
There is no one out there that can act as a citizen like Trump and not as a politician that hides every time someone threatens their little world with political lies and they won’t fight back. Plus, the president by himself/herself, hasn’t been a fighter since Reagan outside of Trump. If a generation, is twenty years ago, that’s two since RR.
Oh, there’s a lot of people calling for DeSantis. You’re banking he will have success. Trump already did with no help. How about getting behind someone that has proven results for four more years? And the whole GOP telling the media where to go and nailing the media every time they open their lying mouths? That requires guts. The current batch has none. Nor the vote.

decades as Speaker or the minority leader when his party
wasn’t in the majority. Instead he threw it all away to screw
this nation over to insult Trump.

I don’t need any confirmation but that alone should convince doubters that Trump should be the nominee. I knew Paul Ryan was no good when Bill Bennett was touting him.
Most of these turn-coat, backstabbers are married to leftist abortion witches who call the shots.

I didn’t believe I could ever feel this way, but the MSM
has been right all along. Hillary was right. She and
those who tried to remove Trump for collusion with Russia
were right. Those who conspired to use illegal means to
remove Trump by election there-by pull off a coup, they
were right.
Trump was wrong to build the wall. He was wrong to
appoint SCOTUS justices who would strike down Roe v
Wade.
He was wrong to institute policies that saw our stock
markets roar. He was wrong to institute policies that
kept our energy prices low and product abundant. He
was wrong to reduce the unemployment rates for Blacks,
Hispanics, and women to all time lows.
I could go on, but you catch my drift. He has said
some bad illogical things, and this time they’ve
finally got him on the run like they always promised
they would. Thank heaven for that.

He didn’t allow people to trash him and remain silent
He didn’t come down on the side of the illegal immigrant.
He didn’t praise Leftists and agree with the One World
Odor. How could I have been so blind, and so critical
of the Bush family for doing these sorts of things.
If only I could take all that back.
I can’t image four more years of the kind of things
Trump did last time, and so I join the DNC, the RNC,
the GOPe, the MSM, and every Leftist Democrat and
the RINOs, to condemn Trump and demand he pass the
torch to someone who knows what they are doing.
Mitch, Paul, a whole host of Republicans who slandered
him and demanded he step down, were right.
Refusing to work with him was the best thing that
ever happened to this nation.
Pelosi, Rove, the Bushes, the Cheney’s, the McCains,
McConnell, Ryan, and so many more wise people, I have
come to understand that you were right all along.
It’s time to move on from Trump.
I see so many of my FReeper buds now saying this, and
although I thought they should be ashamed for acting
like that, I have come to see just how wise they were.
I’d like to suggest we get behind De Santis, but then
I realized he would certainly support about 99.99% of
what Trump did, so I’d just like to cut to the chase
now rather than waste another four years, when we
would turn on him too.
So lets look for someone that doesn’t believe in what
Trump does. Liz Cheney, Megan McCain... I don’t know
guys, these women were out there trashing Trump long
before any of us were. I’ve had to change my long
standing disagreement with them.
CNN, the View, all these amazing places that said things
about Trump that so many of us now seem to agree with,
I salute these people. Finally, I can watch these
programs and feel at home with my fellow travelers.
If only we had listened.
I don’t know about others, but I feel so much better
knowing I have the best fellow travelers I could have
now that I’ve seen the light.
He’s finally on the run. He’ll withdraw from public
life any day now. He’ll be in prison within months if
he doesn’t, perhaps anyway.
