GOP Expands Lead To 7 Points On Congressional Ballot
Rasmussen Reports ^ | October 28, 2022 | Rasmussen Reports

The 2022 midterm elections are now just 11 days away, and Republicans have a seven-point lead in their bid to recapture control of Congress.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that, if the elections for Congress were held today, 49% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Republican candidate, while 42% would vote for the Democrat. Just four percent (4%) would vote for some other candidate, but another five percent (5%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

I’m predicting that ex-state Sen. George Logan will beat RAT Congresswoman Jahana Hayes by 4% in CT-05 but that state Rep. Mike France will fall 2% short against RAT Congressman Joe Courtney in CT-02. I also thing that RAT Gov. Lamont will beat Bob Stefanowski again, this time by 6% or so, and Danang Dick Blumenthal will hold off RNC member Leora Levy by around 5%. What do you guys think?

And, Pete, what do you think will happen in the other state races (including the state legislature)?

Surely Nutmeg State citizens are not so stupid as to vote Democrat in 2022?

CT voters, PLEASE don’t be fooled!

There is no Democrat on any ballot in CT worth your vote!

There is one reason, and one reason alone, to vote Republican in 2022:

REPUBLICANS ARE NOT DEMOCRATS!

The Democrat Party is an anti-American party of chaos, crime, carnage, corruption, rioting and DEATH!

There is NO reason to EVER VOTE DEMOCRAT!

Unless you hate America!

Logan will win. But it’ll be closer than 4%
France ... Won’t be close.

Lamont & Blumie will win by closer to 10 %

Rapini & Arora statewide ... open seats. Normally, I’d say 49% ... but the overall ticket will likely drag them down.

Republicans will make significant gains in the state legislature. I’m not following legislative races too closely

Pete, that’s a bummer. I thought that there would be better GOP performance in CT this year.

My theory is that Lamont will survive while Hochul probably will go down because Lamont reopened schools at the start of the 2020-21 school year while NY schools stayed closed.

As a Connecticut resident, your post is depressing. I was hoping that CT would be part of the red wave.

The statewide GOP candidates are definitely winning the lawn sign war here but I've seen that in past elections too, only to see them go down in defeat.

Ned Lamont for another four years really irks me. I wish the GOP was able to nominate a more charismatic candidate than Bob Stefanowski, who for some reason reminds of a sad life insurance salesman not making his quota. Also, Lamont's gimmick on removing the CT sales tax from gasoline, making CT the cheapest place to get gas in New England, seems to be working in his favor.

I bet the tax gets slapped back on as soon as he is projected the winner.

As for Leora Levy, did she even run a campaign at all? I was hoping that Trump's endorsement wouldn't have been wasted, but other than doing a nice job with the little red yard signs (they are everywhere), the campaign seems non-existent. She hasn't even posted to Truth Social in over a week.

It’s a depressing bummer?

There are many DEMS who are not happy with Biden. They’ll stay home.

The depressed vote in CT is minor compared to other states. So Logan’s victory will be a good barometer for national results.

Lamont & Blumenthal are simply not vulnerable. Negatives aren’t high.

Well, I’m excited you both think Logan will win, you can add Dave Wasserman to that list.

Too bad Stefanowski is a dweeb, that abortion ad he ran was ridiculous.
