‘Trump’s Unelectability Will Be Palpable’: Paul Ryan Says Trump Won’t Win GOP Nomination Again

President Donald Trump will likely lose the Republican presidential primary race in 2024 and, failing that, the general election should he decide to run again.

“Whether he runs or not, I don’t really know if it matters,” Ryan stated. “He’s not going to be the nominee, I don’t think.” Ryan made the comments during an appearance with Kevin Kajiwara, CEO of Teneo, the public affairs consulting firm of which Ryan is vice chairman, at their office in Manhattan.

Ryan also accused Trump of using “fear and intimidation” to maintain political influence over the Republican Party, which he predicted would end poorly. “Whenever you try to do that, it ends the way Hemingway talked about bankruptcy,” he said, “it goes along for a while until it [steeply] drops.”

Ryan said that most Republican candidates were “hurting their own ambition,” by refusing to criticize him. However, he said that Trump’s influence could wane when a critical mass of anti-Trump Republicans emerge, remarking that “as soon as you sort of get the herd mentality going, it’s unstoppable. … Trump’s unelectability will be palpable.”

“The one inexhaustible power in politics in ambition,” Ryan claimed. “You can count on that” to yield a serious challenger to Trump in 2024.

Of course Ryan would throw Desantis in with Yoongkim. He has to keep with the narrative that Desantis is one of “his” guys and the opposite of Trump. That has to be the narrative that Desantis is establishment and Trump is rogue in the RNC attempts to weaken both men.

Thankfully, most conservatives are too smart to fall for this.

Yes, Paul Ryan, we long for another “electable” candidate like Jeb Bush or Schitt Romney. How did you know?!?! Wow, finger on the pulse!!

Or not.

The old GOP is dead. And it’s not Trump that killed it, it’s his agenda.

I am convinced Trump and his policies are our only hope to save America and bring us back to any semblance of a Constitutional Republic.

Quote: “DeSantis is not a “compromise candidate” in any way. He is an establishment stooge no different than any of the other corrupt @ssholes in the GOP political machine.”

That’s a stupid right there. All this hub hub about DeSantis is just the GOPe’s way of trying to divide MAGA voters. They will “back” him if it defeats Trump and then abandon DeSantis. Ron knows this. He isn’t an idiot.

Paul Ryan really fancies himself a Kingmaker. He's absolutely clueless.

But it’s interesting to see how their feeble minds work.

***********

But if enough of dem feeble minds join together then they
may be able to impact who the candidate may be.

When all is said and done, the high point of Ryan’s life will have been playing second fiddle to Mitt Romney in losing a very winnable election.

Don’t forget - this chump couldn’t beat Biden in a debate. I was still drinking the GOP kool-aid at the time and was very disappointed in how dreadfully Eddie Munster performed. And this tool is providing us with his pearls of wisdom? FUPR.

Trump resurrected and expanded a dying party. His America First movement is the new GOP. The globalists are now a distinct minority.

Quote: “ The old GOP is dead. And it’s not Trump that killed it, it’s his agenda.”

That came out wrong. I mean to say that Trump put forth and dolled through on an agenda that the voters had been clamoring for for a couple of decades. Fair trade, not free. Energy independence. An end to needless war war war. End to regulation for its own sake. Border security and a return to focusing on our citizens. And much much more.

That agenda killed the hollow promises, Paul Ryan version of the GOP.

He’s not clueless, he’s a damn traitor, a smirking little sleaze who threw the the 2018 midterms and screwed the entire country and the WORLD out of the beneficial effects that an effective Trump presidency would have had.

Trump got the border under control for the first time in 30 years. Did it with virtually no help from the Congress thanks to Ryan. Remember him asking for 3 lousy billion to finish the wall and being told they didnt have it?

Now they dump that in to Kyiv every couple of days or so.

And Frank Luntz? Really? The guy who faced the cameras in 2016 and sorrowfully said “we got it all terribly wrong” when Trump won?

Ryan helped with The Steal you can be damn sure of that. You can also be damn sure that 570 ordinary people rot in solitary in the DC gulag with his help: the one national news organization which could talk about the Steal WONT because of him in part.

Ryan isnt a Republican. He’s an Irish Catholic Democrat who went with the flow growing up so he could get some power. That meant joining up with the watered down Wisconsin “GOP”. Once at the top, he’s done everything he could to undermine the actual party.

Screw him. Trump forever.

Fascists, they’re very predictable. They’re not just in the Democratic Party. Ryan is a member of the Lincoln Project for sure.

I live in Fort Myers Fl. Prior to Ian and especially after, I have seen NOTHING coming from DSantis even remotely reeking of GOP establishment. I see more posters here on FR who I’d label RINO, Elite Establishment, ect...

If Trump wants 24, it’s his. If the GOP wishes to destroy itself for all time, throw our country to the wolves, and send us to third world status, pull another 2020 KEEP TRUMP OUT OF OFFICE.

In my humble opinion it will be a Trump DeSantis ticket in 24 then DeSantis for two terms.
