Supporters rush to defend Jennifer-Ruth Green after Politico outed her as sexual assault survivor

Twitter lit up with support for Jennifer-Ruth Green, the GOP midterm candidate running to unseat Democrat Rep. Frank Mrvan, D-Ind in Indiana's First Congressional District, after Politico outed her as a victim of sexual assault.

Adam Wren, a correspondent for Politico, wrote a wide-ranging profile of Green last week that included revelations obtained from Green's military records that she was a victim of a sexual assault while serving in Iraq as a member of the U.S. Air Force. Despite several pleas from Green not to publish the previously undisclosed details of the assault, Politico moved forward with publication. *** According to the Politico report, the documents "were obtained by a public records request and provided to Politico by a person outside the Mrvan campaign." Green disputes the claim and says she believes they were obtained "illegally," and shopped around by her Democratic opponent, Rep. Mrvan. *** Green, who believes the use of her military documents is a "politically motivated attempt to impact the upcoming election," vowed not to back down from the fight.

"I'm going to stand up not only for me, but I'm going to stand up for every other survivor, every other vet, every other woman, because I'm not going to let Congressman Frank Mrvan do this, I'm not going to let Adam Wren do this, and I'm just done with it," Green told Fox News Digital.

Women’s organizations, the MSM, and Democrats will be silent on this as Jennifer Ruth Green is a black conservative Republican.

I wonder how the correspondent, Adam Wren, would feel if he was sexually assaulted and outed by the media?

Why would this not gain sympathy votes from women?

a person outside the Mrvan campaign.

Pretty much tells you it was "plausible deniability".

Agree- except the fact she’s a black, female Conservative.

I would think/hope that there is an army of lawyers on the way to represent her in a lawsuit.

Wonder if Gloria Alred is one.

What would Politico’s motive be in releasing this information? If anything, disclosing that she was the victim of a sexual assault would seem to make her a more sympathetic figure. This is not what we normally mean by “outing” someone.

Beat me to it. Revealing something about a person that might gain them sympathy is not what we normally mean by "outing" someone.

NYC now has RCV for a reason.

If Deep State’s voting blocks were solid, it wouldn’t have to steal elections.

Er. Why would she need a defense? How twisted is this? A RAT is attacking her for having been assaulted? What a sick f***. He thinks this is going to help the RAT?

Because for liberal women, Jennifer-Ruth Green is pro-life and that makes her the enemy.

I don't get the outing as a problem. A matter of privacy I guess.

Is the liberal mind "Well I can't vote for the slut. She's not chaste" ? Huh????

25 years ago, a local man of Lebanese origin and owner of beloved restaurant, ran for school board. His platform was very basic values but in a far left town, not basic to them.

He was "outed" for being probably Muslim - "Well you know how they treat women" was their revelation.

His middle eastern restaurant was "boycotted". It had once been a darling of the local college veggie crowd. It later closed

Nope. I don't understand the liberal mind.

“Indiana’s 1st congressional district is an electoral district for the U.S. Congress in Northwestern Indiana. The district is based in Gary and its surrounding suburbs and exurbs. It consists of all of Lake and Porter counties, as well as most of the western part La Porte County, on the border with Illinois and Michigan. Redistricting passed by the Indiana General Assembly in 2011 shifted the district’s boundaries, effective January 2013, to include all of Lake and Porter counties and the western and northwestern townships of La Porte County, while moving Benton, Jasper and Newton counties out of the district.

The district is currently represented by Democrat Frank J. Mrvan. He was sworn in on January 3, 2021.

The district’s character is very different from the rest of Indiana. It includes almost all of the Indiana side of the Chicago metropolitan area. While Porter and LaPorte are swing counties, Lake County is heavily Democratic. Lake County contains two-thirds of the district’s population, which is enough to make the 1st a relatively safe Democratic seat. The district has not elected a Republican to Congress in 94 years, making it one of the longest continuously Democratic districts in the nation. Among Indiana’s congressional districts, only the Indianapolis-based 7th District is more Democratic.”

And Mrvan is white, so he must be desperate. Frankly, he looks like a pedo in training . . . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_J._Mrvan

She is a public person running for a public elected office. Everything about her history is fair game.

Exposing a deeply traumatic event just because you are S*** is inexcusable.

Many are trying to live with flashbacks even decades later. Does this miserable misogynist think he can get away with something this heinous?

Even on the left, survivors need privacy and not a public airing of a terrible event that scars them.

Exposing has nothing to do with the current "let everything hang out" atmosphere. This is a private pain. Not for public consumption. arschloch!
