The Russian military lacks the manpower necessary to hold of a further Ukrainian advance into the Luhansk region, a correspondent embedded with the Russian military in the occupied city of Svatove said on Tuesday evening.
“The Russian troops do not have enough manpower to stop the enemy attacks,” Alexander Kots, for Russian pro-government tabloid Komsomolskaya Pravda said in a video posted to Telegram. “The recent Russian losses are directly connected to that. It’s a very difficult period of time on the front line at the moment.”
He said that “we expect a serious fighting here very soon,” and that “it remains to be seen if it could stop the enemy advances.”
Kots confirmed that Russian forces were trying to fortify their defense at the line connecting the occupied cities of Kreminna and Svatova. Yuriy Podolyaka, a pro-Russian military blogger said on Monday that Russian troops had withdrawn to the Zherebets River, which runs just west of Kreminna and Svatova.

I might add, the US has a long history on losing, Vietnam, Gulf Wars, Iraq, Afghanistan, and with a vegetable head who finalized our defeat in Afghanistan, I don’t place much trust in “ winning” back Ukraine.
In fact, just one look at our current military “ leadership”, Austin, the woke Pentagon, etc it would be safe to assume they to will fail. Our military is not yet crippled, but weakened to the core, depleted arms stores, recruiting numbers failing, woke generals, trans officers, LGBXYZ events, gay marriages, the list is long. Clearly on the path to destruction.
Seems as though the Russia is running out of 60 year old tanks even faster, though.

Russia hit multiple Kiev area targets in a massive drone attack last night. If the Ukrainian air defense systems were moved from Kiev to the counter offensive targets Russia certainly picked a good time to wallop Kiev (Bila Tserkva - 80 miles from Kiev)

Ukraine cancelled their fall conscription. They’ve got plenty of troops and they are being trained to NATO standards. Meanwhile, Russia is drafting 40 year olds off the street, telling them to buy their own kit and sending them days later to die on the (collapsing) front.

I challenge you to explain how Petraeus, who has access to infinitely more information and contacts on this conflict than you or anyone else ever will, is wrong in his assessment.
What about Russian cannon fodder? It’s not as if Russia has been winning lately. Sure, I know some say it is ‘MSM propaganda’ but the fact is that Russia is getting pounded and pushed back. Which means that they must be losing a lot of men.
That war has been an absolute debacle for Putin. The Russian military machine is forever smeared as ineffective. Sure, many suspected it wasn’t as good as claimed, but now it is clear to all that it was even worse than expected.
The Russian federation has about 100 million adults. 60 million have a serious alcohol problem. So that’s 50 million men, of which 20 million are not drunkards.
You can either try to have an economy or you can get into a shooting war. Choose one.
Petraeus never lost 2000 sq km in one day like Putin did yesterday. But, yeah, all according to plan.

When in reality RUSSIA is out of manpower and Putin is sweeping old age homes for cannon fodder.
And Russian men are fleeing the country to avoid dying in Ukraine.
