Russia lacks manpower to stop Ukrainian advance in Luhansk, says correspondent embedded with Russian military

The Russian military lacks the manpower necessary to hold of a further Ukrainian advance into the Luhansk region, a correspondent embedded with the Russian military in the occupied city of Svatove said on Tuesday evening.

“The Russian troops do not have enough manpower to stop the enemy attacks,” Alexander Kots, for Russian pro-government tabloid Komsomolskaya Pravda said in a video posted to Telegram. “The recent Russian losses are directly connected to that. It’s a very difficult period of time on the front line at the moment.”

He said that “we expect a serious fighting here very soon,” and that “it remains to be seen if it could stop the enemy advances.”

Kots confirmed that Russian forces were trying to fortify their defense at the line connecting the occupied cities of Kreminna and Svatova. Yuriy Podolyaka, a pro-Russian military blogger said on Monday that Russian troops had withdrawn to the Zherebets River, which runs just west of Kreminna and Svatova.

“Have we given them F-35s? Abrams tanks? Apache helicopters? Tomahawk missiles?”

LMAO. Please send them. The PR value alone of them getting destroyed or being captured then placed on show in a Russian museum in the Kremlin would be utterly hilarious.

And the Russians would undoubtedly reverse engineer them while sending the US and “Thank you!” card to boot.

Yes, indeed send them, to Russia’s backyard...

Yea let’s give them our good stuff and increase any vulnerability we already have. Outfitting a corrupt regime that the US supports due to kickbacks and fraud, it’s ridiculous. Who really gives a darn about Ukraine, most I know see this as the prelude to world War. I would tend to agree, we will make a wrong move eventually and it’ll be on. Over a corrupt country with an “installed” comedian that is in the back pocket of our country. I’m no fan of Putin at all but damn, we can’t mind our own business and let these regional conflicts resolve themselves.

It is hard to know if someone (or a bot) says something about the Ukraine war from a desire to create political influence or because they simply don’t know the tiny details. Yes, huge amounts of equipment and ammunition are being expended. Will that expenditure hurt NATO’s and American reediness? No. (See the link for a well thought-out and detailed explanation.) But even if the US gave Ukraine every, say, anti-tank missile we have, America has multiple platforms with which to destroy tanks. Ukraine doesn’t. After watching the video at the link someone responded that he didn’t see HIMARS listed. Again, we have multiple platforms that can do the job, but I found a military trade publication listing an RFQ, Request for Quote, for 500 new HIMARS systems. As for ammo, it’s not in the news for obvious reasons, but General Dynamics powder facility which supplies the powder for bullets, bombs and missiles has spammed all of our local mailboxes with requests that we come work there. I no longer have contacts inside, but I do recognize the visible signs that they have expanded and gone to three shifts. We aren’t going to run short of anything anytime soon.

Territory taken can be re-taken (True-but not if you have no air power, no equipment, no logistics, and no manpower)

Ukrainian cannon fodder cannot be resurrected (Neither can Russian cannon fodder, probably the Russians will run out first)

and the US and NATO are running out military equipment to send to replace that which is being steadily destroyed. (LOL, the Americans have more aircraft in ready storage than the Russians have that can fly today. The allied countries have probably thousands of what we consider obsolete pieces, better than the Russians have now, of equipment and bombs to use. I think the assumption that the US and allies will run out of old equipment is a mistake. I have no doubt the Russians are already in deep equipment problems)

This war is stupid. It’s only getting people killed over oil, minerals, and money for the rich. Yes, I see that on both sides.

“Will that expenditure hurt NATO’s and American reediness? No.”

And other pundits, armchair generals, etc. are arguing otherwise, as is a small minority in the West/US/UK/EU/NATO are grudgingly admitting and acknowledging.

you endlessly complain about people using degrading terms for dead Russian soldiers like “orcs” ...

then you turn around and slander everyone supporting Ukraine with the “neo-con” insult

GFY hypocritical Russian troll

Maybe the Russians can buy all the US military equipment that the taliban got and fight on?

Holy shite if this was 2018 and you told me what happened from 2021-2022, I would say you’re insane.

The Ukes have a superior army, with superior weaponry, all the motivation in the world, and a whole nation behind them. The orcs are going to lose this conflict.

The only question is whether Putin will use nuclear weapons before the Orcs turn on him.

“Yes, indeed send them, to Russia’s backyard...”

I don’t think this was your intent, but you highlight such a critical point. Russia invaded a neighbor. These battles are taking place in Russia’s backyard. And the Russian military is suffering defeat after defeat after defeat. Russia is using its top of the line military equipment. It is being sunk, shot down, blown up, and many times, captured and used against them. All in its own backyard. It’s shocking really. Russian ineptitude will be studied for decades to come. How NOT to conduct an invasion.

Are you denying that NEOCONS are pushing this war/conflict?

Are you denying that the NEOCONS have a vested interest in keeping this war/conflict going?

Are you denying that the NEOCONS have sabotaged two ‘peace deals’ to end this war/conflict?

And NEOCONS as an insult?
LMAOGTFO.

Does Canada even have NEOCONS? Just asking for a friend.

“Invaded,” “invasion,” blah, blah, blah.

Language utilized largely by the Western/US/UK/EU/NATO propaganda ridden media.

Ask those millions in the four regions that just voted to join the Russian Federation if Russia “invaded” or if they view Russia’s intervention as an “invasion”......

2,000 square km deoccupied in Kherson yesterday alone. Putin’s serfs and slaves are no match for a free people in an even fight.

I would doubt he’d be able to get to that point. I’m betting there are certainly more rational senior leaders around him who would intercede by all means necessary to stop him.

Yep.. this amounts to Ukraine’s war of independence. The orcs are failing miserably on this. And if they “think” that coming winter will save them, they’re mistaken. They’re in hostile territory with very limited and strained LOCs, while the well-fed, well-equipped and highly motivated and mobilized Ukes will be on them 24/7.

Look dummy, “neocons” didn’t attack Ukraine, Russia did

“neocons” didn’t invade a sovereign country, Russia did

stop always deflecting & blaming your childish imaginary bogeymen, and start blaming the ONLY person responsible for starting this unnecessary war - Vladimir Putin

We outfitted a “corrupt regime” in Afghanistan. How did that go? Not like Ukraine. Buy a clue and figure out why that is.

Multiple reports today of Russian soldiers not getting paid. Sometimes for months on end. Cutting off the gas also cut off Putin’s cash flow. It won’t be long now.

How did that work out for the prior Nazis, taking all that terrain so rapidly?

Important difference, that you cannot seem to understand, is the Ukrainians outnumber the Russian soldiers on the battlefield. So its actually reversed, the Russians are the Germans, who's offensive has run out of steam.
