Russian state media said the armed guards enforcing the door-to-door voting are there for 'security'.

Rigged elections are evil, no matter where they occur.

America is in no position to lecture any country about the legitimacy of elections.

Were those Russian soldiers trained by the FBI?

President Brandon is SO jealous of this type of voting. If only he could round up the Deplorables, Dregs of Society, Semi-NAZIs, and the Ultra-Super-Duper MAGAs and force them to vote his way. Only then will we have Brandon-Style Unity.

So Eristavi says his family were forced to take part of the referendums in Crimea in 2014...and now he claims they’re forced to do so again? Where are they living now? None of the four regions where the referendums occurred are in Crimea (unless he means to imply his family chose to stick around in Russia-aligned areas for months, even though they ostensibly had problems with the Crimea referendum in 2014).

Something doesn’t pass the smell test.

But then again, he is part of the Atlantic Council, and his bio is rather telling: https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/expert/maxim-eristavi-2/

“He is the only openly gay journalist in Ukraine and has been an outspoken voice in raising civil rights issues of the region abroad. Eristavi is a 2015 Poynter fellow at Yale University with a focus on informational wars and pan-regional LGBTI civil rights movements.”

Australia also forces its citizen to vote.

And our Deep State praises them for it:

How Australia's compulsory voting saved it from Trumpism

In a new book, historian Judith Brett takes a deep dive into an electoral system ‘Americans can only dream of’...

Australia is one of only 19 countries out of 166 electoral democracies where voting is compulsory, and one of only nine that enforce it. It is the only English-speaking country that compels its citizens to vote.

The impact is hard to overstate. In 2015, former US president Barack Obama praised Australia’s system, saying it would be “transformative” if everyone voted in the United States....

Since Russia is going to stuff the ballot boxes anyways why would they care if someone voted or not?
Especially someone who doesn’t want to vote at all would probably be anti-Russian anyway.

One doesn’t have to look very hard on the internet to find lengthy videos of Ukrainians lined up at polling places to vote — and the lines are long. Almost everyone is smiling, and many are singing, dancing, wearing red, white and blue clothing and waving miniature Russian tricolor flags. You can even see captured Ukrainian soldiers voting in POW camps in the presence of foreign observers (while UKR doesn’t even allow the Red Cross to visit Russian POWs at all). But here in American and the West, our “free” media suppress and/or demonize everything that doesn’t fit its anti-Russian narrative. Such conduct is noteworthy to any objective observer.

Since the Ukrainian government is killing civilians for daring to support Russian integration of Donbass residents, it is understandable to have armed men present to stop such murders of civilians.

The armed soldiers are not there to force a vote. They are there to protect those who vote and to prevent violent reprisals against voters.

It is absurd to think voters would even show up if they expected to be shot for voting “the wrong way.”

Zelensky and his thugs would have nothing to fear if the citizens of Donbass were thrilled to remain part of Ukraine. That, of course, is not true.

Let’s see video of voters dragged out and beaten or shot for voting the “wrong way.”

That, of course, IS NOT HAPPENING.

Given that Zelensky has threatened to arrest anyone who votes and imprison them for 5 years I’d say they need security.

I see soldiers in a war zone providing security for canvassers. I don’t see anyone being forced to vote. You warmongers are going to get thousands upon thousands of people killed.
