She passed.
You know, much of that must be so. Perhaps her most meaningful contribution later in her reign could have been standing resolutely against - with good grace and manners, of course - in the face of the decidedly un-English changes roiling British life these last decades.
I will give you, she was the most sane of her family and didn’t try to embarrass the country. Just wish she would have better used that “influence” they always mention the royals having. And she tried her best to outlive Charles....
If they are allowed to keep their titles after all of the aggression and chaos and negativity they have caused, then you know that the slimmed down version of the monarchy means to diminish its adherence to its own legacy.
The monarchy is simply a tool for Markle to come off as famous, rich, and important.

Freerepulbic needs a like button. I’d give you all my thumbs up. The gushing love fest for the elite ruling class is endlessly nauseating. But pomp, circumstance, and “Royalty” y’all... Blech!
I was eight and saw her coronation. I remember that the crown was heavy. What an outstanding woman and role model. Women can be heroes, too.
She didn’t live to see the final destruction of her country. God is merciful. R.I.P.

“Technically not quite correct, as she became queen in 1953.”
No. She became queen as soon as her father died. Her coronation was in 1953.
An era has come to an end.
Rest In Peace dear Queen Elizabeth II. You did your duty so very well.
Sad to have to agree with every word you posted. Then again, she is a figurehead and no real power.
They were both in England already. Harry left Merkel in London to go to his grandmother’s bedside. Mot known if he made it in time. Personally I think she had already passed and they waited for family to announce.
Charles is too white; in order to celebrate diversity, equity and inclusion the British should skip him and crown Meghan Markel Queen, she’s black. 🙄
That’s what I wish we would have seen. But hell, maybe she correctly gauged that wokeism and socialist rot was irreversible and just decided to enjoy being rich and watching the horses. Can’t blame her.
Had she forcefully came out against the BS, they woulda turned on her with fury.
But she should have dome something about her government setting up Trump in that frame up job, and about the Pakistani rape gangs. Those two deserved her to break her silence.
Long live the king! (only probably not as long as this one) . . .
Yeah... you’re probably right.
Bastille Day for me.
Technically she should be called Elizabeth II & I, because Elizabeth I was never queen of Scotland.
The Queen is dead....Long live the King!
