Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Monday said he has “great confidence” in Republican Senate candidate Mehmet Oz, despite several polls showing the television doctor trailing Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman (D) in the Keystone State.
Asked in Kentucky about Oz’s chances to win the Senate seat, McConnell said he thinks the GOP nominee — who has been painted as an out-of-touch elite from New Jersey by Fetterman’s campaign — has “a great shot at winning.”
“I have great confidence. I think Oz has a great shot at winning,” McConnell told reporters.
The comments came after the Senate leader on Friday hosted a fundraiser for Oz, Georgia Senate candidate Hershel Walker and Rep. Ted Budd (R-N.C.), who is running for the upper chamber in North Carolina, all of whom have the backing of former President Trump.
McConnell pointed to that event as proof that he has faith in Oz.
“I don’t think I would have had him here if I didn’t think that,” the Kentucky Republican said.
McConnell’s public votes of confidence for Oz comes despite the television doctor-turned-Republican politician consistently polling behind Fetterman in Pennsylvania’s Senate race. According to FiveThirtyEight’s average of polls, Oz is trailing Fetterman, with 39.2 percent to Fetterman’s 48.2 percent.

If anything shows how screwed our country is it’s the fact that a mentally and physically disabled stroke case is actually running for office at all.
Why knock the guy when he’s doing right. Knock Fetterman instead. Duh...
I can see why people may prefer a sick, Communist American to a healthy capitalist Turk.
Oz needs the support of $$$ McConnell can provide to avoid Fetterman, the mass murdering, racial profiling, free loading frankenstein! 1. Oz is Trump backed (Trump trusts him); 2. He can win in PA; 3. MAGA cannot get elected in PA or the Northeast, we need to be realistic about this. The MAGA candidate now has to explain why he was in a confederate uniform (we know but the average voter doesnt) and why half the party has endorsed his opponent. Barnette would have not won, plain and simple. Vote for OZ!

Haha, the old reverse endorsement. If he were smart he would start endorsing all of Trump’s endorsements and then conservatives wouldn’t know what the heck to do!

At 2am, November 4th, 2020, it was a majority in PA by about 800,000 votes.
A lot of people would vote for a smeared pile of cow manure as long as it was a Democrat.
The Turtle just gave Oz 34 million so of course he has great faith in him.
Shrek is a train wreck that will be at the top of the ballot because he is a federal candidate. That alone will shave 3 or 4 points off the rodents’ count.
